Please HELP!! I'm trying (struggling!) to achieve the following booking process for a client:
Main service: Book a 1 hour photo fun slot (choose your time)
Additional (optional) service: Hire a party room before/after the Photo Fun Hour (specify this time separately)
Extra (optional): Order party packs for the kids if they booked a party room.
Below are 4 setups I've tried so far:
----------
Setup 1:
Step-by-Step Booking Form 2.0
I created one service: Photo Fun Hour
With extras:
Party Pod 1
Party Pod 2
Both Party Pods
Party Packs
Issue here:
You can't select custom durations or more than one option to choose from i.e. 45min / 90min
You can't select a date or time for an extra
-----------
Setup 2:
Step-by-Step Booking Form 2.0 Cart selection is enabled
I created two categories with services:
Photo Fun - Photo Fun Hour
Party Room hire - Party Pod 1 - with time options 45min / 90min (extra party packs option) - Party Pod 2 - with time options 45min / 90min (extra party packs option) - Both Party Pods - with time options 45min / 90min (extra party packs option)
Issue here:
You should initially only see category 1 - but it's showing both.
For the next service, it should only show category 2 and you must be able to select one.
For the "Total people selector" the number doesn't display.
I tried: Pre-select URL parameters for Amelia shortcode for booking form URL:
Catalog Booking Form 2.0 Cart selection is enabled
I used the same Categories and Services as above.
Issue here:
You should initially only see category 1 - but it's showing both.
On selecting Book another, it bombs out.
For the "Total people selector" the number doesn't display.
I tried: Creating a service that includes the Photo Fun Hour, but then it doesn't reflect correctly on the calendar and doesn't give you the option to choose which service goes first.
----------
Setup 4:
Step-by-Step Booking Form 2.0 Create packages. Cart selection is disabled.
Packages:
45 min @ Party Pod 1
90 min @ Party Pod 1
45 min @ Party Pod 2
90 min @ Party Pod 2
45 min @ Both Party Pods
90 min @ Both Party Pods
Issue here:
Doesn't display extras (party packs) or different duration options
For the "Total people selector" the number doesn't display.
I tried: Creating party packs as a service, but it requires a duration and 0 hrs isn't accepted.
-----------
It seemed like such a simple booking process, but I keep running into walls with the limitations of the plugin. You soonest assistance would be GREATLY appreciated, since this to-and-fro process has already delayed this project sooo much.
Thanks for reaching out to us. Here is how the Amelia booking forms works. First of all, the service selection step will always be the first step where the customer can select the service and book an appointment. There is no option to configure the additional (optional) service, unless you turn on the Cart feature. For each service separately you can turn on the Extras feature (and configure it to be mandatory).
So, to summarize, once a customer selects one appointment and choose the date and time, then he needs to go "book another" after which he will see the Extras option (if configured and enabled)
That being said, the other (optional) services can be created within the second category, but both categories will be visible on the booking form. If you preselect the category 1, then only the category 1 would be visible. You might be able to uncheck "show on site" but Amelia wont render the service visible. In Cart step, customers would be able to see all services available for booking.
I'm sure this is a conflict with either theme or third-party plugins. You want to double-check this by changing a theme and disabling other plugins (leaving just Amelia enabled)
There is a refund period of 15 days from the purchase date. You can request this through your TMS store account.

Thank you for getting back to me Stefan.
It's disappointing that such a simple booking flow can't be achieved within the Amelia plugin.
Could you please advise why the total number of people does not display? (See screenshot attached).
Do you offer any kind of refund?
Kind Regards,
Jana
