We are using your Amelia plugin for managing reservations in our coworking space, specifically for booking meeting rooms. We’ve encountered an issue related to the customer area and the use of packages.
In the customer area, when a user tries to book a room using a package, the system forces them to select time slots (hour by hour), without allowing them to choose the total number of hours they need in a single selection. However, when the user purchases single hours without a package, they can select the desired number of hours directly.
We need the system to allow users to select the total number of hours they want to book when using a package, just as they can when booking single hours. This is crucial to provide a more flexible booking experience that matches our operational needs.
Is it possible to configure this functionality in Amelia? I’ve attached screenshots for clarity regarding the issue.
Thank you in advance for your assistance. I look forward to your reply.
Thank you for your message. Unfortunately, at the moment, Amelia does not support the ability to select the total number of hours for a room booking when using a package, as it does when booking single hours. The system requires customers to select the time slots individually when booking with a package.
This limitation is due to the way pricing and time selection are structured for packages in Amelia. There is currently no custom pricing option when a service is part of a package, which is why customers cannot choose the total number of hours directly when booking via a package.
If you need any further clarification or assistance, feel free to reach out. We're happy to help!
Thank you for your previous response. I would like to emphasize that this functionality is crucial for my use case. I manage a coworking space where users purchase packages (hour bundles) and need the ability to select the specific time slots they want to book.
Not having this option complicates both the user experience and internal management. Currently, I am evaluating solutions that can provide this functionality in an intuitive way, as it is an essential requirement for my business.
Could you please confirm if there is any alternative, workaround, or future integration planned to enable this feature?
Thank you in advance for your understanding and support.
Thank you for your message and for emphasizing the importance of this functionality for your coworking space. I understand how crucial it is for users to select specific time slots when purchasing hour bundles.
Unfortunately, there is no workaround available for this feature at the moment. However, I will make sure to pass your feedback along to our management team for further consideration. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
If you have any other questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out.
Here’s a refined version of your text for clarity and professionalism:
Thank you for your response! I’ve been considering a workaround—creating a Google Calendar specifically for fixed members with unlimited room access. This could then sync with Amelia, while external members would only have the ability to book blocked time slots.
The main challenge is setting up and managing time bonuses, which might be a bit cumbersome. I’ll explore other solutions to see if I can find a more efficient approach.
It’s a pity, as Amelia is such a comprehensive app overall and could be a fantastic fit for coworking spaces. I hope you’ll consider revisiting this in the future! 😊
Thank you for confirming! I'm glad the refined version works well for you. Let me know if you need any further adjustments or have other ideas you'd like to explore! 😊
