We had a previous ticket open and requested help with Amelia's Notifications; the information that was provided to us, although it makes sense to creators of this product, does not apply to everyone. We sent another request for help and As a result of our frustrating response our ticket is now closed with Marko. We were also informed that he could not do anything because his creditials were limited, this is true we did not know he was still working in the database it was not told how long to allow access.
We are attaching everything we sent to previously. What would be helpful is if someone could send screenshots of how the notifications should be setup up.
When SMTP is selected, and the credentials are applied we recieved the error screen shot that is attached, we tried several numbers for outgoing and incoming.
Thanks for reaching out to us. I do see that you have a custom email configuration, when it comes to email configuration, we always recommend SMTP configuration. This is a "default" configuration
SMTP Host – smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port – 587
SMTPSecure – TLS
SMTP Username – Your Gmail address
SMTP Password – Your App password (details about setting up an app password can be found in the yellow notice section below)
