Hi. I've set my appointment status to Pending by default. So when a customer books an appointment or buys a package from the front end, it goes to pending and triggers an email with instructions for off-site payment.
After that, I'll manually change the payment status to 'Paid'. Then I will book the appointments for them via the system. I'll go to Packages and find their names there, and book from there. I've attached some screenshots.
The problem is, whenever I try to book an appointment (only in packages), even if I set the status to approved, it still goes to pending and triggers another email asking for payment (screenshot attached).
When I try to do the same on the Appointment page, it works fine. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!
Thanks for reaching out to us. That's strange, the appointment status comes from the service settings, but If you choose the status manually when booking from the backend, it should change the status according to your option.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.

Your default status is set to "Pending," and your services also have the default status set to "Pending." Since the appointment statuses are determined by the service settings, the default appointment status should correctly read as "Pending."
However, if you manually select the "Approved" status, it should apply only to that specific appointment. I was able to reproduce this issue on our localhost and will report it to our developers for further investigation.
In the meantime, you can either revert to the previous version or update the default appointment status for the specific service as a temporary workaround.
Yes please. This is a huge issue for us because we will be frequently using the backend Packages section to book appointments. We would like to keep the default appointment status to be pending. We won't be able to launch our website if this issue persists.
Would you guide me on how to revert to the previous version without causing any harm to my current set up? I appreciate the help.
Unfortunately, I've reverted back to version 7.8 and I am still facing the same issue. No matter if I check the box to notify customer(s), I'll still get the appointment pending email. No matter what status I changed the appointment status to be, it'll still go to pending. I do need a proper fix for this as soon as you possibly can please.
Apologies for the inconvenience. It seems the issue persists even with the previous version. The only solution at this point is to escalate the matter to our developers so they can work on providing a fix as soon as possible.
Apologies for the delay. We are planning to release Amelia 8.0 in a couple of days, but unfortunately, we weren’t able to create a fix for this particular issue in time. It requires an implementation and testing phase, so we are doing our best to include the fix in the upcoming release.
We will make sure to update our changelog page once the fix is complete.
We apologize again for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
