I am using WP Amelia events to enable tapas board orders on this website. Customers do not have to log in to order. Still, I get the occasional email: “Password changed for user”. How does this happen? How can I prevent this from happening?
Hi An,
Thanks for reaching out to us. It's hard to tell without a proper investigation, may I ask for more details? Perhaps the explanation of the whole process?
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

Hi An,
I see, and when you say "I get the occasional email: “Password changed for user”, does that mean that you as an employee get this email or? By default, only employees and customers get the booking confirmation emails, but you can also add your admin email in Notifications, that's why I'm asking.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

Hi Stefan
I'm not sure I understand your question correctly.
I am the administrator and receive these messages “Password changed for user”. The user is a customer. But the customer does not need a password to place an order.
The sender of these emails is WordPress.
The owner and the customer receive the confirmation emails from Amelia.
Kind regards,
An
Hi An,
This is probably a default WordPress email that is sent to each customer after the booking.
I don't know if you can disable it through WordPress settings, but I do know that you can do it with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/manage-notification-emails/
Just disable the option “New user notification to the user” and it should be good to go.
Kind Regards,

Hi Stefan,
I find it very strange because I don't get a notification for every new customer. There are now 17 customers and I only got 3 notifications. It is not a notification “new user”, it is really a notification about the password.
I also don't understand why the message comes “Password changed for user”, because customers don't have to create a password to place an order through Amelia. It seems like some customers come to the Wordpress login screen while ordering?
I think something is wrong somewhere, but I don't know what.
Kind regards,
An
Hi An,
I'm also not quite sure, because the WordPress emails are only sent after the booking (and when the password are really changed). I would say that the best option would be to provide the WP admin credentials and step to reproduce the issue, so we can have a better overview.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

I think the problem is solved by turning off “Automatically create Amelia Customer user”.
Hi An,
It might be because Amelia is not creating a new user and therefore the email is not sent (only Amelia Customer created)
