Thanks for reaching out to us. You can use "breaks" options for this purpose. This is similar to days off, but it allows you to configure the break for specific timeslot. This option is located in Work Hours settings, in the upper right corner, you will see a plus icon. By clicking here, you will see the break option
Your solution is to pause from 12:00 p.m. to 16:00 p.m. on Monday, but this will take effect on all Mondays in the following weeks, except that I would like it to be a specific Monday (ONLY Monday December 25, the company is closed from 12:00 p.m. to 16:00 p.m.).
Apologies for that, you are right. Having breaks configured like this, means that all Mondays would have the break options configured. Unfortunatelly, other than configuring Days Off or Breaks, there are no other options at this moment. Another workaround would be to have Google Calendar configured and have this specific timeslot configured as "busy" as this timeslot won't be available for booking in Amelia. You can find more information on this link.
No worries about the lack of understanding but you understood my request.
All my employees are linked to the same calendar, so all customer appointments made on Amelia are automatically displayed on the Google Calendar in question.
The Google Calendar will be called "X" for better understanding.
But how do I put a "busy" time slot on Google Calendar "X" so that it takes effect on Amelia's weekend?
What I did: 1) I put a busy event directly on Google Calendar "X" Monday November 25 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 2) But it is still possible to book on Amelia Monday November 25 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In short, for my business, I would like to be able to close it by time period when I want, so customers cannot book online because the business is closed from such and such an hour.
I don't want to close my business for a whole day, because I already know how to do that, it's very simple. But I would like to be able to close it for only a few hours during the day without changing the general schedule.
Because sometimes, I need my business to be closed for longer than a tampon, and this is exceptional, rare.
Thank you for understanding. A technique to make this work would be perfect!
“If an employee already has events in Google Calendar marked as busy, these will not be able to be booked in Amelia.”
Event created by Amélia, yes it works perfectly. But is this the same if the event is created by Google Calendar? Because no, I don't think so, I tried.
So the solution would be to create a false event in Amélia to block reservations as a business closure?
You have Google Calendar synced with your employee/s through Amelia employee settings. On the Google Calendar, you will see a schedule for a month
Select the exact timeslot for exact date you want to exclude from Amelia booking
And make sure that the visibility is set to "busy" (it's important part)
Now, all employees assigned to this Google Calendar will not be available for booking on this particular timeslot, simple as that. You will not see this appointment in Amelia Calendar, but the timeslot won't be visible on the booking form.
I won't bother you any longer with my problem. Creating fake Amélia events assigned to all my employees suits me perfectly, especially since with this solution, I can leave 1 employee active, even if the company is closed for all the others.
This workaround suits me very well and is quick to use.
We can close my ticket, thank you for your help Stefan, that's why I like Amelia! Versatile with exemplary support service!
Hello everyone,
Currently, it is possible to close the business for an entire day (see photo), but is it possible to choose a time slot for a specific day?
Example:
Instead of closing all day on Friday, November 27, the business will exceptionally close on Friday, November 27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
This way, it affects all my departments and my employees.
Thank you for your response.

Well, here is my 3rd message out of 3, I posted 2 others just before.
I think I have found a solution that is not technically complicated to implement.
I have created a business closure event (which will not be displayed on my website), allowing a time slot to be occupied for the employees concerned.
This is the simplest solution I've found so far.
If there is one through Google calendar, that would be perfect!
Otherwise I will refrain from it and make do with this solution found.
Thanks for help,
Yours sincerely

Hi Professionelam,
Here is the use case -

Select the exact timeslot for exact date you want to exclude from Amelia booking
And make sure that the visibility is set to "busy" (it's important part)
Now, all employees assigned to this Google Calendar will not be available for booking on this particular timeslot, simple as that. You will not see this appointment in Amelia Calendar, but the timeslot won't be visible on the booking form.
