I am needing some type of flexible capacity rules that can increase or decrease available places for specific services. So I can accept more customers when I can or decrease available capacity when I am too busy. So we are trying to start a pet care business that is just one to two people. We have a Doggie Daycare service and we have a walking and sitting services as well. Basically if we are booked with daycare for the day we cant take clients for the other services. Is there a work around for this? Or how can I implement this?
If you have a single employee set up in Amelia to handle all services, the system will automatically manage availability across all services. This means that if the employee is fully booked for Doggie Daycare, they won’t be available for Walking or Sitting Services, and vice versa. Amelia’s scheduling logic ensures there are no overlaps.
If you want to adjust capacity dynamically, you can manually modify the number of appointments the employee can handle in the Employee settings or temporarily reduce availability by setting up Special Days or blocking specific time slots in their calendar.
Let me know if you need guidance on setting this up!
Awesome. So lets say she is booked for doggie day care for the day, but is available to do some virtual services at the facility. Is it possible to be able to book a couple of virtual services for the day?
In Amelia, the system works by automatically managing availability based on the employee's set working hours and appointment schedule. If you're using a single employee for multiple services, the system will block off their time for any service they’re booked for, meaning if they are fully booked for Doggie Daycare, they won’t be available for Walking or Sitting Services.
For more flexibility with capacity management, you can use a few methods:
Adjust Employee Capacity: You can manually increase or decrease the number of available slots per service by adjusting the work hours in the Employee settings. This can be helpful if you want to temporarily increase availability for specific services.
Set Special Days or Block Time Slots: If you want to reduce availability, you can create Special Days or block off certain time slots to limit bookings for specific services.
Unfortunately, there isn't a built-in feature that directly allows for dynamically adjusting capacity based on bookings for other services, but combining these settings can give you the flexibility you're seeking.
Let me know if you'd like guidance on setting up these options!
