Settings-> Separate DB connection not working properly

I have a separate connection configured in Settings. When I set it up for the first time, I clicked the "Test Connection" button, and everything worked fine. I was able to create new tables using this connection without any issues.

However, when I return to the Settings section, I am unable to see the details of my database connection. Each time, I need to click "Add New Connection" to make the details of the first connection reappear. Additionally, when I click "Test Connection" again after the details reappear, I receive a connection error message, even though the tables created with this connection work properly.

I believe these issues might be bugs in the plugin. Thank you!

Related to the error message, seems that password is not loaded properly when connection fields are filling for editing, because I changed password and click on test connection and got a success message. If I save, leave page and back again I see the error message again when click on test connection. So the bug might be that password is not loaded properly from saved configuration. Please check this and apply a fix in the plugin

    Hello,

Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

We are not able to reproduce this issue - so we can't declare it as a bug, and thus we can't fix it this way.

We need to investigate remotely directly on your Site, if that is OK, in order to try and isolate why that happens on your setup.

    1. Can you first please record a Video of your screen, so that we can see the detailed steps, how you are configuring the DB connection details, then how the issue happens when you return to the settings?

If the Video gets too large, you can upload it to weTransfer and send a download link.

    2. Then if you can send us all the details for your remote DB connection, so we can try adding it from our Test server/Site.

You can also try to add your DB connection to our Demo Sandbox Site - and see if you can reproduce it not memorizing the saved configuration on our Site or if it only happens on your Site?

    3. In the end, if you can send us your WP-Admin access :

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your website where this happens,

as well as FTP credentials and access to the database ( either link with credentials for PHPmyAdmin, or access to Hosting Panel),

so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.

You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    Kind Regards,
