I have suddenly started getting failed woo commerce payments (error: "Name 'Credit card / debit card' must be less than 255 chars") since yesterday. This only seems to affect Amelia bookings - products bought from the shop seem to process normally, so I don't know why or how that should be? It does seem to coincide with Wordpress update to 6.7.1 - maybe? The booking is created in Amelia with a payment of £0.00, and WooCommerce shows a transaction 'Pending Payment'. I'm really not sure what is going on here, except that this only seems to be happening with transactions for Amelia bookings.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we can log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Thank you, the issue is resolved for now - it seems there is a problem with a recent Woo Payments update, I have rolled back the plugin until a new version is available. FYI, this is the response from Woo:
Sorry that you're experiencing this issue. This may be related to a recent change we made to introduct a Test Mode badge that's having unintended consequences with a small set of plugins.
There are a few options that we could look at to see if that resolves the issue. The first is to try our newer modern version of checkout. This is a quick change but not all plugins are compatible, so there is a chance of fixing one problem and introducing another.
Thank you for providing this information and for updating us on the situation. It's great to hear that rolling back the Woo Payments plugin resolved the issue for now. We appreciate you sharing the response from Woo, as it helps us stay informed about potential compatibility concerns.
If there's anything else you need assistance with, please feel free to reach out.
