I'm using Amelia for my clients new website. She is a sewing teacher, and so teaches sewing classes and workshops. The events work great for these.
One service that she offers is what she calls a "Freeranger" session wherein people book into the sessions to come and use the studio space to sew their own projects, get help and advice etc on specific days that she sets out in advance.
We'd like this to be able to be booked in two options:
all 6 sessions that are offered in one go
individually, so pick and choose type sessions for those who can't make/afford all 6 that are offered
However we'd like to use the same availability of spaces so that it's easy to keep track of and it doesn't get overbooked, all of the information is in one place etc.
What would be the best way to do this?
I've played with appointments a little bit (and these are great for her one to one sessions she offers), but am unsure if I can set out specific days for the above, and allow multiple people to book onto them?
For your Freeranger sessions, here's an updated approach:
Events with Multiple Dates: Since Amelia doesn't have a package feature for events, you can create an event for the "Freeranger" sessions. When creating the event, you can add multiple dates for the sessions, allowing customers to book all 6 sessions at once. However, when customers book the event, they will be booking all the dates at once, rather than selecting individual sessions.
Individual Session Booking: For those who want to pick and choose individual sessions, you can create separate events for each session. This way, customers can select and book the specific dates they want, and Amelia will manage availability and prevent overbooking.
Availability Control: As you are using events, the availability for each session will be tied to the event itself, and multiple people can book into the same session. You will just need to ensure that each event (or date of the event) has the correct availability.
This setup will allow you to track bookings for both individual sessions and multiple sessions (if someone wants to book all 6). You can still manage availability effectively by creating multiple events with the required dates.
Let me know if you need any further assistance with this!
