We have been dealing with this issue for over a year on https://fusemakerspace.org/. I'm hoping you can us help find a fix or we will be moving to a new booking platform...
The site is hosted on WP engine therefore we cannot set up CRONS like we typically would on a normal server.
We are using WP control for crown management in WordPress. This appears to be the go to plug-in.
We are using WP Amelia for our booking engine. Amelia provided the CRON code for two time-related notifications.
Cron jobs are not a feature of Amelia; they are a WordPress functionality that you can use independently of Amelia. Configuring cron jobs falls outside the scope of our support, as they are set up on the server level. For any questions related to cron jobs, we recommend reaching out to your hosting provider.
We understand that you may have a specific configuration in place, but since cron jobs are not part of our product, we are not familiar with certain options, such as the user agent setting. If needed, you can request your hosting provider to adjust their configuration to avoid blocking it. From what we understand, the issue is caused by their setup, which is blocking the cron job, and this is unrelated to Amelia.
Additionally, since you are using a third-party plugin like WP Crontrol, any issues related to cron jobs should be addressed by their support team or your hosting provider.
Our team can assist you only with issues related to Amelia’s regular notifications that are tied to appointment or event statuses, such as "Approved," "Pending," or "Cancelled." However, for any issues related to cron job reminder notifications, you will need to contact either the WP Crontrol support team or your hosting provider.
Thank you for your understanding.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

Here’s an example of the error we keep getting in WP Control: https://d.pr/i/IavIXP
Recently we were told by WPEngine that they block anything without a user agent and that we need to attach a User Agent.
Can you advise us on how to attach a User Agent?

No worries, thanks for the feedback. Can you advise if Amelia CRONS can be on WPEngine's alternate CRON schedule? Or will that cause issues?
Hello again,
You are most welcome, we do apologise but this time we are not quite sure what you are asking is exactly? Can you please elaborate more on that?
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
Kind Regards,
