We activated the waitlist on a clients website. We see some things that need some attention.
The button to put yourself on the waiting list is on mobile pushing things to the side, see attachment. In Dutch it is a long line :-). Is there a way to make this layout better?
For some events, we’ve received reports (already more than 10) that people are unable to join the waiting list (even though that functionality is enabled for that event). They can’t click the "+" button, as shown in image-3. My suspicion is that it might be related to how far in the future the event is (most reports seem to be for events from 2025 onwards) or perhaps a bug.
Thanks for reaching out to us. It looks like the first issue is only visible on mobile phones. I've just tested it on a desktop, and the button is a visible property. It should be possible to optimize this with the CSS code.
For the second issue, my first guess is that this might be a conflict with other plugins. Have you tried disabling other third party plugins?
I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
I've took this event as an example - Familieopstelling. I see that the "maximum allowed spots" option is enabled even though you have categories created. I guess you tried to make some changes while this event already have some attendees?
I've also created a new event (without the attendees) and I'm able to choose more than one ticket on the event list. If so, please note that you can change the pricing for events with confirmed attendes.
This is confucion for me. Where is the waitinglist feature? Are you saying you can't add the waitlist to an existing event? Only new events can have the waitinglist? The problem is not with max number of attendees in the normal list of attendees. It is about the wiating list. Take winterschool fro example.
Apologies, it looks like i totally misunderstood the issue here. At first, I thought that the issue is related to the number of tickets that a customer can select. I see the issue now, customers are not able to join the waiting list at all even though it's configured. Am I allowed to make changes to events?
I was just troubleshooting this use case. For some reason, I get this error on the website
It looks like there is a maintenance turned on, but I've tried to reproduce the same use case on my local host.
So, here is the event configuration. I've configured multiple dates for January (not far away, but I doubt that this is related to how far the dates are configured)
Pricing page is configured like this with waiting list enabled.
Once the event is full, it says that the waiting list is enabled
And if I go to the Event List frontend I see the same Event with the waiting list enabled
If I click to book, I can choose how many spots I want, depending on the configuration
I guess it's the configuration or perhaps a conflict but I'm not able to access your website now because of the issue above.
So sorry, I was updating the test site. I am updating the test site with a new live site. It is finished now. You can now see exact the problems we have in the live site.
Unfortunatelly, still no luck. The website is working, but I'm not able to access it with the previous credentials. Since you can access it, please try configuring the same setup as this
The pricing page is configured like this with a waiting list enabled.
Once the event is full, it says that the waiting list is enabled
And if you go to the frontend page for the particular event, you can see that the waiting list is enabled
If I click to book, you can choose how many spots you want
Some extra info. I just talked to the client and they are telling me that all events in 2025 don't work with the waitinglist. Can you also take a look at this?
As a matter of fact, the waiting list is not working for events in 2025. I'm not sure why because I was able to book a place on the waiting list for an event that will occur in 2025 (as per my previous screenshots)
I don't see any differences in configuration, which is strange.
Yes, exactly. I already consulted them and explained the use case. I'm still not sure why this happens because I created the exact event with the dates in 2025 and I was able to book a ticket for the waiting list.
Really sorry for the delayed reply. Unfortunatelly, the QA team wasn't able to reproduce the issue, we will continue the troubleshooting on the customer website. I'm not sure if it is a conflict or perhaps a configuration, but the same events (created in the same way as the other, already existing ones) do work properly.
Hi,
Hope you are doing ok?
We activated the waitlist on a clients website. We see some things that need some attention.
Hope you have some answers?
Cheers
Marco
