we offer day spa for 3 and 6 hours. I have the problem, that if one customer books the 6 hours day spa, then the slot is blocked for other customers. We are open from 11-23 that means if 2 customers are booking the slots from 11-17 and 17-23 no other customer can book the day spa. How can I fix that?
We have a wellness area with various saunas in our hotel. We would like to offer external visitors the opportunity to book this wellness area for 3 or 6 hours. We have a lot of space in the wellness area, so several customers can use the wellness area at the same time. We open the area from 11 am to 11 pm. During this period, visitors will have the option of booking either the 3-hour day spa or the 6-hour day spa.
At the moment, I am still offering this with the new step-by-step booking form. I have set the maximum capacity for this to 51 people. However, as soon as a customer books the 6-hour day spa, only one appointment will be available for the other 6 hours and neither the 3-hour day spa nor the 6-hour day spa will still be bookable.
To resolve this issue, please enable the "Allow booking below minimum capacity" option. You can find this setting on the Amelia > Settings > Appointments and Events page. This will allow multiple customers to book the wellness area simultaneously, even when a 6-hour session has already been booked.
I hope this helps, and thank you for your patience!
Maybe I have to give more information about the bookings on my company?
Things I offer in my hotel and which are currently be booked without any problems: Massages with only one massage table but 2 employees. For that I made a resource. Exklusive Wellness Offers in one bathtub. For that I also did a resource. All my categories have different employees which are set in the settings.
And now the Day Spa offers. For that I have no resource. -Minimum Clients one and maximum 20
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we can log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.

seems its working now. 2 days are still not available for double booking but that's okey As you can see on my screenshot. One last question the second screenshot shows the bookings in the backend. Is that correct that there those booking are not showed as single bookings? In my opinion my employees could think that's just one booking and not two differents. Hope this will not have a negative effect for the first booking?
I’m glad to hear it’s working now! 😊 Regarding your question:
The behavior you’re observing in the backend—where multiple bookings within a package are displayed together instead of as separate single bookings—is the default setup in Amelia. Bookings within a package are grouped this way to streamline management, but rest assured, each appointment is still treated individually within the system.
Key Points to Clarify:
For Employees:
Each individual booking retains its specific date, time, and details, even though they’re grouped in the backend.
Employees will still see the details of each appointment when accessing their schedules, so this shouldn’t negatively impact their understanding of the bookings.
First Booking’s Impact:
There is no negative effect on the first booking. All appointments are processed independently, so overlapping or double booking issues shouldn’t occur.
Uros is out of the office, so I'll step in on this one. We've had a Christmas break, apologies for the delayed response. Let me investigate this a bit more, and I'll get back to you with information as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding, and apologies again for the delayed response.
Apologies for the delayed response. I’ve been reviewing the first message you sent, and I just want to make sure I understand the issue correctly. The current concern is that the Day Spa service is not bookable by other users once someone has already booked that timeslot, correct?
As Uros mentioned, one workaround would be to enable the "Allow booking below minimum capacity" option in the Appointment settings and ensure the service has a maximum capacity greater than 1. Another option would be to create separate employees—one for the 3-hour duration and another for the 6-hour duration.
Please note that the "Allow booking below minimum capacity" option only applies to the front end when customers are booking.
I went ahead and tested this from the front end. The next available appointment for the Spa 6-hour service is on January 26 at 11 AM.
As you can see, there are 26 spaces left.
So, if i select the same service on the front end, the same timeslot is visible for booking
Is this what you are referring to or perhaps i missed something?
One more addition. I have now created another employee who also offers Day Spa 3 hours and Day Spa 6 hours. Now it is still bookable. Unfortunately, I don't yet know whether this will remain the case after a few more bookings.
Apologies for the delayed answer. Well, you have two employees created, but they are both assigned to both service, this is not what i was referring to. Employee 1 should work only on the Day Spa 3, where the other one should work only on Day Spa 6. And you also have the resources created and assigned.
This is how it should work. With the option enabled and maximum capacity increased, the employee will be able to work on multiple appointments until the maximum capacity is reached. If you have them separated, they wont be related to each other, and therefore the customers will be able to book the same timeslot separately. (i.e service 1, timeslot 12PM 20 times, timeslot 1pm 20 times and etc).
Hi Stefan, I had it the same way before and then it was still not bookable, so I assigned both employees the two day spa offers, otherwise it would not have been bookable again. So there still seems to be a conflict somewhere. We also have another conflict. For example, if a customer books a day spa for 3 hours from 10:00-14:00 and then makes an extra booking in the booking process to add an exclusive tub, they can only book this from 14:30. However, if they want to book the exclusive tub without the day spa, they can also book it at 10 am. Can you simply make these settings yourself so that everything really works? We are losing money with these conflicts and are not happy with the problems at the moment.
Apologies for the delayed answer. I still see that you have both employees assigned to both services.
Hello,
In this setup, the "Day Spa 3 Studen" service is assigned to the Day Spa employee, and the "Day Spa 6" service is assigned to the Day Spa 6 employee. This configuration ensures that different services are linked to their respective employees.
With the "Allow booking below minimum capacity" option enabled and the service’s maximum capacity set to more than 1, customers can book appointments until the maximum capacity is reached.
I’ve tested this setup on our local server, and it works as expected.
Hello Stefan, yes, you have (I hope the existing bookings are not affected or we will have further problems during this period).
The following things are not working at the moment:
- Day Spa can only be booked at one time and not several times at the same time. So it should be possible to book Day Spa 3 hours and Day Spa 6 hours several times at the same time and it would also be best if customers could freely choose the time there. Not just 11:00 - 14:00, for example, but also 12:00 - 15:00 and so on. - We have a second massage room. If we book masseurs there, then the day spa bookings are also not bookable and the other massage room is also blocked. So these services somehow cancel each other out. For whatever reason.
So there seem to be a lot of problems at the moment. I can't solve them myself.
I would be delighted if you could manage to solve these problems.

Hi Stefan, as I told before. We did all these changes but in OUR SYSTEM the booking is still not available.
It would be very good if you could make those changes in our system directly. We are very frustrated...
Hello Kevin,
Do I have permission to unassign the resources? I can proceed and create the use case for testing, but the resources need to be unassigned first.
