Hey everyone!
With the holiday season upon us, we want to share our upcoming working hours:
- New Year: Our team will be off on January 1st and 2nd. We’ll be back on Friday, January 3rd, to respond to any messages received during this time.
- Weekend: As usual, we don’t work on weekends, so January 4th and 5th will also be non-working days.
- Orthodox Christmas: Our office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, January 6th and 7th for the holiday.
After that, we’ll return to our regular schedule and assist you as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find tons of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel), which might just have the answers you need while we’re away.
Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!
Warm regards and happy holidays!

We want the ability for customer to select onsite or phone/online meeting appointment booking. How can this be setup in the booking wizard?
We preferably don't want to have to create separate service just for this type of appointment.
There should ideally be a simple option to select physical location or online/phone appointment, just like you can in google calendar, calendly, cal.com or any other appointment booking/calendar platform.
Hello Tom,
Thank you for your inquiry about appointment booking options in Amelia. Currently, the best approach to allow customers to select between onsite or phone/online meetings is to create separate services for each appointment type.
This setup allows customers to choose the specific type of appointment they prefer, ensuring clarity and proper scheduling for both onsite and online meetings.
If you need any assistance with setting this up, please let me know!
Kind Regards,
Uros Jovanovic

Not ideal as it just bloats the service options. This should be simple option inside the booking wizard flow.
Pretty much every calendar booking app already provides this option and yet Amelia doesn't?
So we can't have a custom form input somewhere in the booking wizard where user picks their preferred booking type? Onsite vs Phone/Video Call? This seems like a major oversight to not include something simple like this in the wizard.
Just add a custom field when people can tick if onsite or via phone and you will know what they want. custom fields are available in amelia. I use them to collect custom data from clients.
Hello everyone,
I appreciate your feedback regarding the booking options in Amelia.
You can indeed add custom fields in Amelia to collect information about whether clients prefer onsite appointments or phone/video calls. This allows you to gather the necessary details from your clients.
However, it's important to note that while you can create these custom fields, it is not possible to automatically set one of the options as the default based on the client's selection. This means that users will still need to manually choose their preferred booking type from the available options.
Thank you for your understanding, and if you have any further questions or suggestions, feel free to share!
Kind Regards,

Is there a way to colour code or display additional text details in calendar views by default based on the appointment type selection? So the team can quickly identify which appointment type is which?

Currently the only way to see what appointment is which is by opening each individual appointment. It's a little annoying and counter-productive.

Hello Tom,
Thank you for the update on this.
Unfortunately, there is currently no such option with Amelia's built-in features. You can suggest that feature on the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/
We carefully follow suggestions from our customers and the more votes the feature gets, the more priority we put on implementing that feature in one of the future updates.
