We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

Description of Issue: We are experiencing a significant issue with wpDataCharts where the colors we set for the bar chart series (specifically, "Investment" and "Profit") are not retained after saving. Although we can change the colors in the editor, they consistently revert to the default red and blue after saving. This issue persists even after saving the configuration multiple times.

    Steps Taken to Troubleshoot:

    1. Attempted Color Configuration in Editor:
      • Within the wpDataCharts editor, we adjusted the colors for both the "Investment" and "Profit" bars to match our client’s brand palette.
      • Despite these changes, the colors default back to red and blue upon re-opening the editor or refreshing the chart, regardless of the save state.
    2. Direct Modification of JSON in Database:
      • After editing the JSON configuration in the MySQL database, we found that other JSON changes (such as text labels) are reflected correctly in the chart.
      • However, altering backgroundColor and borderColor for the "Investment" and "Profit" datasets directly in the JSON did not result in any change in the chart colors, which remained red and blue.
    3. Chart Setup:
      • Our chart is connected to a MySQL database table that is dynamically populated at runtime. This data population is functioning correctly, and data displays as expected.
      • The only persistent issue is with the colors of the bar chart, which we are unable to customize to meet the client’s requirements.

Request: Given our deadline and the urgency from our client, we request assistance in resolving this color retention issue as soon as possible. We need a solution to reliably change and retain custom colors for our bar chart series in wpDataCharts. Please advise on any potential fixes, configurations, or updates that might resolve this behavior.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Urgency: We have a tight deadline and a client awaiting resolution.
