why can we not add a discount through the calendar page when adding a new appointment?

Can they also resolve the fact we still (for over 2 years now) cannot add a coupon / discount code in once we book the appointment, we are a salon and sometimes give clients money off after so many appts and we dont know they are getting the money off until they arrive. so we then have to cancel the appt ancd rebook the whole thing just to add a discount on
