customers have been reporting that they are not receiving the email notifications. i am registered to receive a copy of the notifications and I am receiving them. is there somewhere in amelia to see the notification history?
An issue with email notifications could be caused by several reasons:
Your hosting provider is blocking all 3rd party settings and only allowing their SMTP (or other) settings.
Your website has a PHP version of less than 7.
The credentials are not correct.
There's something else blocking the notifications from being sent.
If you're using Gmail, please check out this article for detailed setup instructions.
Please check these points, and let me know if you were able to resolve the issue. If you're still not able to resolve the issue, we'll need to remote into your website and see what's going on.
Would really appreciate your review of our settings. I will send credentials in a private reply.
Amelia notifications have been working for the past few years, and we haven't made changes to the configuration. We're using PHP Mail as the Mail Service.
We send 4 email notifications upon booking; 1 to the customer, 1 to our staff, and I get a copy of both. The only one not being received is the one to the customer. I receive the copies of both notifications.
I see, you have SMTP protocol configured in a third-party plugin. In that case, you need to change the mail settings in Amelia to WP mail, since having it configured to SMTP on both places, creates a conflict.
Please, feel free to test the notifications now and let me know if it works.
Yes, in the use case you have currently (SMTP configured in a third-party plugin), you need to change the settings to WP mail in Amelia. Having SMTP in both places creates a conflict, and the emails won't be sent. The other way is to configure SMTP directly in Amelia, but this also works.

Stefan,
It is working again. Thank you. Did you change the Amelia settings from SMTP to WP Mail?
Also, why would this have stopped working last week after it's been working for several years?
