The notifications are reaching the Employee, but not the clients... They are active, and still, emails with the scheduled appointments are not being sent to the clients.
An issue with email notifications could be caused by several reasons:
Your hosting provider is blocking all 3rd party settings and only allowing their SMTP (or other) settings.
Your website has a PHP version of less than 7.
The credentials are not correct.
There's something else blocking the notifications from being sent.
If you're using Gmail, please check out this article for detailed setup instructions.
Please check these points, and let me know if you were able to resolve the issue. If you're still not able to resolve the issue, we'll need to remote into your website and see what's going on.
The emails on our site are being sent without any issues, as they only notify the Consultants and not the clients once they make their appointments. If there were any problem with the System or Site Configuration, I believe no emails would be sent at all, not even to the Consultants. I would like to know what error might be causing this.
That's correct, but the issue could also be the fact that you might have the wrong protocol configured such as WP mail. Even though the email notifications might work, some emails would still be flagged as spam, therefore they won't be sent or they will go to the spam folder. This is why we recommend SMTP settings instead of PHP and you want to double-check this.
Good morning, I have made the recommended changes, but there are still no effects. Previously, I was using MailGun with its API connection, and everything was working without issues; the notifications were sent to the employees' email but not to the customers. However, after switching to WP Mail, the same issue persists: the email reaches the employee, but the notification does not reach the customer. I would like to know what I can do about this. Thank you!
Reviewing the configuration options within Amelia, I found this option that I am sharing in the ticket. It appears to be disabled, and it doesn't allow me to enable it to send appointment notifications to clients. Could you tell me how to activate it?
Have you tried SMTP settings as per my recommendation? Email notifications might not work with WP mail, or Mailgun settings since the emails are ending up as spam. Having email notifications configured with SMTP is the most efficient and proven way of sending emails. Of course, you need to make sure that the templates are turned on for both employees and customers.
Following your advice, I have already set up the SMTP connection to Gmail, but the system continues to send emails only to the consultant and not to the client. In fact, it’s not even sending the Google Meet invitation as specified. I’ve also tried using Mailgun with its connection API, as well as the default WP Mail. Please let me know what solution we could apply to this issue. Thank you!
I’m also having issues with notifications… they work like a lottery… some are sent to the client but not to the employee, others go to the employee but not to the client, and still others don’t go anywhere at all.
I’ve noticed that during tests, a sending error sometimes appears and sometimes doesn’t. Additionally, it makes no sense that there’s no information on whether a notification was sent to the client or employee. There should be a confirmation of this somewhere in the plugin.
I've just logged in again to double-check. It looks like the issue is related to your notification settings parameters. I've changed it to my SMTP password and username and the notifications are working.
While testing with your SMTP configuration, I was getting "SMTP not able to connect" issues in the developer console. You want to double-check the SMTP settings (password and username) and test it again.
