Despite having a team of developers assist with the integration of Amelia, I'm still encountering two issues:
1. While appointments booked via Amelia on my website do appear in my Google Calendar, the reverse doesn't work. Appointments booked directly in Google Calendar (which is connected with Amelia) remain available for booking on the website. Is there a way to resolve this?
2. Clients are not receiving notification emails when they book a session, and I’m also unable to send test emails for notifications, even though the settings seem to be correct.
I would really appreciate your help with these issues.
Events from Google Calendar will not be displayed in Amelia but busy events from Google Calendar will block time slots in Amelia. For that purpose, please make sure that the "Remove Google Calendar Busy Slots" option is enabled on the Amelia/Settings/Integrations/Google Calendar page. Also, you can increase the "Maximum Number Of Events Returned" option as well.
An issue with email notifications could be caused by several reasons:
Your hosting provider is blocking all 3rd party settings and only allowing their SMTP (or other) settings.
Your website has a PHP version of less than 7.
The credentials are not correct.
There's something else blocking the notifications from being sent.
If you're using Gmail, please check out this article for detailed setup instructions.
Please check these points, and let me know if you were able to resolve the issue. If you're still not able to resolve the issue, we'll need to remote into your website and see what's going on.
