I have detected that the messaging system of my website is not working. When trying to send TEST messages it does not send them either. Can you help me to solve the problem?
An issue with email notifications could be caused by several reasons:
Your hosting provider is blocking all 3rd party settings and only allowing their SMTP (or other) settings.
Your website has a PHP version of less than 7.
The credentials are not correct.
There's something else blocking the notifications from being sent.

Please check these points, and let me know if you were able to resolve the issue. If you're still not able to resolve the issue, we'll need to remote into your website and see what's going on.
thank you very much for your reply. I have changed the configuration to PHP and it works again. However it is much more complicated to manage the emails and I don't understand very well why the “new appointment” email arrives to my Gmail email and all the other notifications to the Wordpress email.
For this reason, what I want to know more than anything is why the smpt linked to my Gmail email stopped working. It has worked perfectly from the beginning, then about 2 weeks ago, I received notifications from you informing me that the plugin has been having problems. At that time I have not been able to check anything as I have been very busy and now I realize that the messaging system is not working. Is it possible that something in the plugin structure is not working properly? My hosting provider, Hostinger, does not block links to Gmail. The link you sent me with the arctic is broken, it can not be displayed, please send it again.
To explain a bit better. While the notifications might work with PHP, this is not recommended for configuration. Emails are usually marked as spam and it takes more time to be sent. Instead, we recommend configuring the SMTP protocol, it's important to configure the SMTP host and username correctly. This is unique (not universal), so you need to make sure that you enter these parameters correctly. You can find more information regarding setup on this link.
