There's an issue with wpDataTables where, if it's inserted into an Elementor popup, any table functionality it should've have doesn't work.
Sorting, searching, changing the number of rows, even the style is different than if put on the page normally.
As an attachment, I send a video where I create a popup with both the wpDataTables widget, as well as Elementor's Shortcode widget and inserting the table shortcode in it. Afterwards, I test the first popup in a pre-existing page and the second one in a new page created while recording.
Regarding what's running on this website (related to the actions took in the video): Wordpress 6.6.2, Elementor 3.24.4 and Elementor Pro 3.24.2, wpDataTables Free 3.4.2.24, Flatsome theme 3.19.6 (other website I tested this on and initially created a ticket in Wordpress for is running Neve Free 3.8.11)
Just in case, regarding security plugins: Wordfence Free 7.11.7 and Really Simple Security Free 9.0.2
Thank you for going through all the details in the Video - we can clearly see how the issue happens on your Site with the Elementor PopUp and our table(s).
Our QA Team did further tests and they are able to reproduce this issue on our test site, so we can officially confirm it is flagged as a bug.
Our developers isolated the bug, and they'll add it to their queue for fixing.
They will do their best to build a fix as soon as possible.
We don't have an ETA on when the fix will be available, but please keep a lookout on our wpDataTables changeLog.
It will be stated there during updates which bug fixes have been implemented at each update. If they create a fix in between updates, I will make sure to send it to you.
