I have just updated to version 7.8 and have lost all of my events. Where a single event or full calenda should be displayed I am getting the loading icon.

Please try this - deactivate Amelia, clear caching, activate Amelia, and clear cache again and it should fix the issue. If you still see the issue, I would kindly ask you to provide the database access along with the WP admin credentials.
