is it possible to send the events confirmation mail without .ics confirmations as attachments to the mail?

Hello Bart,
Thanks for reaching out to us. The .ics file option in Notifications settings also applies to Events. If disabled in Notifications settings, the. ics file wont be sent for both services and events.
You can disable this in Notifications settings -
