I want to translate strings and edit out information given in the payment page (and probably also in the cart, but I don't use that as it is). See screenshot where I have drawn a red line over information that I don't need or want to appear.
I looked into the HTML but found no hoooks for editing this with CSS.
Can you show me where to translate these strings, and also edit out the ones I don't want?
This is not related to Amelia as far as we can see this is WooCommerce we can not translate their plugin. You need to reach out to their support team and check this with them.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
I imagined there would be a way of setting what information goes from Amelia to the Woocommerce cart & payment pages, maybe even how it is formatted, no?
We have metadata option. In Amelia/setting/payments you have the option to Set MetaData and Description
Just enter the placeholder for information that you want to be shown there and that is it.
But we can not format them as we wish this all designed on their end.
For example In Amelia/setting/payments, if you scroll down when the WooCommerce payment gateway is enabled,
you will see the option to Set MetaData and Description as mentioned:
Just enter the placeholder for the information that you want to be shown there and that is it.
-
Here is our Test example.
Let's say we have this Custom Field 1, that we labeled "Delivery address".
A customer comes to book, and fills in this address as something random as "Los Angeles street 1",
and if we put this placeholder for custom field 1, in the Metadata of WooCommerce, it will appear on the Cart and on the Checkout:
-
As you see, when we hover the mouse over each custom_field placeholder, it will reveal the label of the Custom Field, to make it easier to see which ones we need.
You are most welcome, and we are glad that we were able to help you. Can you please send us a screenshot so that we can see what you want to change and where?
Unfortunately, currently this feature is not available in Amelia. This label does not exist in customize section so we are not sure that this can be translated. The best option to ty and see of this can be changed at all is via Poedit.
Words can be changed using POEDIT for example very easily.
If you want to use POEDIT then this is an instruction:
1. Download the Amelia plugin from CodeCanyon and save the .zip file on your computer.
4. After that open the program and open the file from the extracted folder on your computer ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/wpamelia-fr_FR.po.
5. Translate all the strings that are not translated
6. Save the translation.
7. Go to ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/ folder and copy these two files called wpamelia-fr_FR.po and wpamelia-fr_FR.mo back to your website in the location ../wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/.
This is an example of the French language, but you will choose yours.

Hi Marko,
this was very helpful, thanks.
One follow up question though: Where do I translate the string "Appointment info"? I can't find it in the Customization.
Best regards,
Thorri
