Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: Our team will be out of the office on the 12th and 13th of September, but don’t worry—we'll be back in full swing on the 16th of September (since we don't operate on weekends anyway).

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we get back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Warm regards,

TMS

Displaying Data in multiple Rows

So the table here is obviously very wide, wider than the screen. Is there a way to display each "row" of entries as multiple rows on the screen so people don't have to scroll sideways forever?

    Hi Patrick,

Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

Yes, there can be multiple ways to achieve the table looking nicer and more convenient to initially present less columns for each row - then to load 'more details' about each row.

You can try, for example, using our Master-Details add-on, which provides multiple options, in this case, if you wish the user to stay on the same Page, just to show 'more details' on each row, you can use the 'show more details in a PopUp'.

Please check more on how our Master-Details add-on works here, you will also see some of our examples there.

Before purchase, you can also test all the Master Details Add-on features on this sandbox site.

    2. Another way, you can try using our "Responsiveness" feature on desktop.

It can be used to initially show only a few columns - and hide others as 'expandable' for each row on click.

You can enable Responsiveness in the table, and choose which columns will be hidden from the front-end on tablet devices.

Then, you can go to wpDataTables settings, and change the tablet's width to a bigger value (2000 for example).

When you do this, the plugin will consider all screens below 2000px as tablets, and hide the selected columns which would be available on click.

A "+" sign will appear in the first column, so when you click on it the data hidden will be displayed.

You can optionally change the 'action' on which the rows expand, if you wish it to be on the + icon, or on cell or on row.

Let me know if that helps.

    Thank you.
