I am currently experiencing an issue with the Amelia plugin. Specifically, I am unable to find the option to link employees to the Outlook calendar, which was previously available. This functionality is crucial for our scheduling and calendar synchronization needs.
Here are some details regarding the issue:
Plugin Version: 7.7.1
WordPress Version: 6.6.1
Issue Description: The option to connect individual employees to the Outlook calendar is no longer visible in the Amelia settings. This option was previously available and is essential for integrating our employees' schedules with our Outlook calendar.
I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:
Ensured that Amelia is updated to the latest version.
Cleared the browser cache and tried accessing the settings from different browsers.
Verified user roles and permissions to ensure I have the necessary rights to access these settings.
Could you please provide guidance on:
Whether this feature has been moved or removed in the latest update.
Any additional steps required to re-enable or access this feature.
Your assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. If you require any additional information, please let me know.
Thanks for reaching out to us and for the issue description. I was just about to write the workaround for this issue, only to find the last sentence that this is solved. As a matter of fact, all it was needed was to delete the data from "your_prefix_amelia_providers_to_outlook_calendar ". After that, when you refresh Amelia, it will show the option to connect the employee to the Calendar.
Anyway, should you have any other questions or issues regarding the other topics, feel free to open a new ticket and we will kindly provide assistance there.
I have successfully linked the individual employee calendars to their respective Outlook accounts in Amelia. However, I am encountering an issue with the calendar synchronization between Outlook and Amelia.
When I schedule an appointment via the website, it correctly appears in the employee's Outlook calendar. However, existing appointments in the Outlook calendar are not reflected on the booking page. This means that time slots that are already booked in Outlook still appear as available on the website, and clients are able to book these slots, causing double bookings.
Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken:
I have ensured that the calendars are correctly linked and the necessary permissions are granted.
All cache has been cleared both on the website and the browser, but the issue persists.
Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this synchronization issue so that Amelia correctly reflects the unavailable times based on the existing calendar appointments?
Your prompt assistance would be greatly appreciated, as this issue is critical to our scheduling process.
Try increasing the "Maximum Number Of Events Returned: " in Outlook Calendar integration settings. By default, this is configured to 50, but you want to increase it to 2000. This will affect on the number of events displayed on the page.
Thx for the reply. I have checked the setting for the maximum number of events returned from the Outlook Calendar, and it is currently set to 999, which is the highest value allowed.
Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue or suggest any additional steps that might be necessary?
Yes, I have checked, but there are no changes. For the record, if I make an appointment on my website, it shows up in the Outlook calendar. However, if I block a day in my outlook calendar, it is still possible to schedule an appointment on that day. Also, no emails are being sent.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.

Thanks for the credentials. Apparently, the issue was related to the option "remove busy slots" in Outlook Integration settings. I've created a test employee and connected my Outlook Calendar. I've made a test appointment, marked as busy, covering the duration of the whole day for Sep 20. It looks like this
If you go to the booking form, you can see that the Sep 20 is not visible for booking, if you select this particular employee
If this is deleted, then you go back again to the booking form, now Sep 20 is visible for booking
Feel free to test it yourself, and let me know if it works.
Thanks, Stefan. It took a while, but it turned out that the person I'm setting this up for had something configured incorrectly in her calendar. So, it's working now. Thanks!! Now, I just need to sort out the email connection. I'm linking it to Outlook, but the emails still aren't coming through. They have multiple Outlook accounts (Microsoft Business) and one main account. How can I ensure that the correct emails go to the right employee and also to the client? Should this happen automatically once the employee is logged in? Because it's not working that way right now...
I will fill in for Stefan as he is out of the office at the moment.
An issue with email notifications could be caused by several reasons:
Your hosting provider is blocking all 3rd party settings and only allowing their SMTP (or other) settings.
Your website has a PHP version of less than 7.
The credentials are not correct.
There's something else blocking the notifications from being sent.
If you're using Gmail, please check out this article for detailed setup instructions.
Please check these points, and let me know if you were able to resolve the issue. If you're still not able to resolve the issue, we'll need to remote into your website and see what's going on.
