Our client is having an issue with the time zone for the calendar events being set in Universel Time (UTC). As they are in GMT appointments are looking like they are an hour behind because of daylight saving time.
We are using the Outlook Calendar integration and the website time zone is set correctly.
Can we change the timezone of these events to that of the employee, or even globally, as we will never need to support different time zones in this use case?
Thanks for reaching out to us. Certainly, it's recommended that the same timezone be used in both places, Amelia and Calendar. Instead of the UTC, you would need to configure the timezone to the nearest city in your timezone, because of daylight savings. So, both timezone settings in Amelia and employee settings should be configured to the nearest city in your timezone. I believe the time zones are set correctly on this installation.
Under WordPress general settings, the timezone is set to London.
In the Amelia General Settings the "Show booking slots in client time zone" is off.
Everything is working and showing correctly in the admin.
The issue is just with the calendar events being sent in UTC when our client opens the event to see more details. The times are confusing as they are offset by an hour due to daylight saving. While they are correct when you consider the timezone. Is there a way to change the timezone the events are sent in so they will show in our local timezone?
Apologies for the delayed answer. I searched a bit and checked with the developers, I was able to find use case similar to this, identified as an issue. Apparently, If the events are edited in the Outlook calendar (appointments from Amelia in Outlook), the time is shown in the UTC timezone, not in the calendar’s timezone. I would say that this is the same issue as in our use case.
Yes, this is the exact issue we are facing. Is there a fix for this? Can we change the timezone Amelia appointments are added to the outlook calendar in?
Our client has had people turning up at the wrong times for appointments.
We tried to find a possible solution by looking for a workaround of configuring this preview directly in Outlook Calendar, but, currently, looks like there is no solution. It has been reported as a bug, and we will look forward to fixing this in future updates. Unfortunatelly, it's hard to promise ETA, but you can follow the changelog page to keep up with the updates.

To add to this I have attached a screenshot to show how this could be confusing to a non-technical person.
The appointment is a 2pm but in the preview it shows as 1pm.
