Situation: I offer a package for individual language training sessions ("Focus Training"). The customer defines during the process of booking the package the learning goal, e.g. pronounciation.
Problem: When a customer books two (or more) packages for different training goals, I cannot identify which appointment belongs to which package and therefore to which training goal.
Example: Customer books one package for improving pronounciation and another package for improving writing skills. The customer enters the goals in a custom field during booking the package. But: The text entered here only appears in the first appointment booked. All following appointment do not show this information.
What could help me here? Ideally there is a datum I can add to the appointment information in the calendar entry. E.g. text from the custom field, package/booking ID, WooCommerce order number, ...) But there may also be other solutions ...
And ideally the customer can also identify somehow (in the customer panel, in the appointment information) which appointment belongs to which package/topic.
Im afraid that at this time this is not possible to achieve. Customer fields are tied to appointments not to users so that is why this is shows in appointment when you check it the first but this will not show for other appointments Im afraid. It would be best if you can create separate services or packages that will for pronunciation or writing skill so that you know by title what they want to improve.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately it is not an option to set up different services here. First, the customer defines the topic of the training him-/herselfe, so this could be anything. Second: I already did set up a long list of services and packages for every single service, e.g. to cover different training durations.
As everything has an ID within Amelia, why not make them accessible - at least by variables in notifications and calendar information.
At this time this is not possible Im afraid. Custom fields are more designed so they can accept terms and conditions and similar. But of course they can be used for gathering other date as well such as date of birth or their address. You have a specific use case. I think that we suggested this a couple of times to you already but there is no other option than to ask you again to consider submitting this valuable suggestion as a feature request through the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/. The prioritization of feature development is greatly influenced by the number of customer requests received. By participating and expressing your support, you contribute significantly to the potential expedited implementation of this feature. Something perhaps will be implemented in the future based on number of gathered votes and something will not. You have specific needs and use case so something are not developed yet.
