Hi, we found an issue regarding using multiple employees
According to the response on ticket https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ticket/3675074/ we should use different employees for different services to get a custom period for each service. But now we see that doing that allows users to subscribe to two services at the same time, due to the employee being different. But in reality we cannot have that.
Is there a way to ensure that each service is linked, yet has a custom period?
For that purpose, you could connect the same Google Calendar to multiple employees to ensure that when one is booked, the other is blocked at that time slot.
Or, this can be done with Resources, but that feature is only available in Pro and Elite licenses.
I see now, interesting, would this also work with Outlook instead? As they already have set up a connection. I assume to get it working that the setting Remove Outlook Calendar Busy Slots needs to be on?
Checking the employees settings; the calendar should be set to all employees though? Not just in the global settings?
And, just checking, this also respects the set employee holidays so the time slots for the connected services don't explode open?
Absolutely, this can work with Outlook as well. Since your client already has an Outlook connection set up, you're in a good position to utilize this functionality. To ensure that it works correctly, you'll need to make sure that the "Remove Outlook Calendar Busy Slots" setting is enabled. This is crucial, as it allows the system to recognize and block off times that are marked as busy in the Outlook calendar, preventing overbooking.
Regarding the employee settings, you're correct that the calendar should be configured not just globally but also specifically for each employee. This ensures that the availability for each service is accurately reflected based on the individual employee's schedule. Setting this at both the global level and for each employee will help avoid any discrepancies.
Additionally, the system does respect the set employee holidays. If you have employee holidays configured, the time slots for connected services will remain closed during those periods, ensuring that they do not inadvertently become available for booking. This integrated setup should provide a seamless and reliable experience for managing appointments across multiple sites while preventing any conflicts or overbooking.
