I’m working with hairdressers. They are taking deposits payment to validate an appointements. Then the client paid on site . I’m taking a charge fees on each appointment. Unfortunately, when I charge 10% of fees , it is based on what is paid during the process booking (so the deposit amount)
So if the appointment is 100$ and the deposit payment is 10$. The 10% of charge fees are calculated on the deposit payment (10$ ). So instead of having 10$ of charge fees for this appointment, I have 1$ .
Is it normal or a bug ?
I need the charge fees base on the Total amount of the appointment not only the deposit amount.
Because i don't think it is "logical" if it is "normal".
There are a lot of business where the client pay the total amount on place , when the service is done. So they are not paying the total amount online except the deposit amount to "book" their appointement.
And if the fees are calculated on the online transaction(so the deposite amount) = I can't use this functionality.
Because, normaly , when a services cost 1 000 € , has 100 € deposit amount and I take 10% of fees, it means i normaly take 100 € of fees for this appointement . Instead i take only 10 € . So there is 90 € missing.
So this functionality is actually useless and unusable for everyone if this is "normal".
Amelia’s integration with Stripe Connect works by taking a percentage of each transaction and transferring that to the employee. Since you want to set it up to consider the entire amount, you can use the Payment Link option: Configuring Payments.
With this setup, customers can pay the remaining amount after the deposit through Stripe, and that full amount will be transferred via Stripe Connect. This way, you can ensure that the fees are calculated based on the total payment, not just the deposit.
With a payment link option, customers can pay the rest of the amount after paying deposit with online payment method and that amount will be distributed to employees via Stripe Connect as well.
Okay I see what you mean but I can't used this workaround unfortunately.
Because if i understand well, it means the notification must be send just after the appointement is done AND while the customer is still with hairdresser.
Because I can not just "trust" the customer when he is back at his home to pay.

No, I am referring to the email that is sent out when the appointment is booked, there the payment link needs to be added and the customer can choose to pay the rest of the appointment price right away.
That is the only option at the moment.

None of customer paid the full amount before the appointement. Even the hairdressers don't take full payement right away after the booking and before the appointement. Like it is not a "product" their selling but a "human services" . Customer will always paid when the appointement is done for many different reason.
