I have a gym where I offer various instructor-led classes (spinning, body pump, etc.). I want to use Amelia to register the different classes and instructors so that clients can book their classes online. So far, after reading the documentation, this seems easy to implement (registering the classes and instructors and assigning the classes to each of them according to their work schedules).
The problem I encounter is as follows. First, I set a price for each class so that anyone who wants to book a class can do so online and pay for it online as well. However, in the gym, besides the instructor-led classes, I have a weight room, and some clients will be members. That is, member clients will pay a fixed monthly fee (for example, 60 euros per month), which will entitle them to access the weight room and also book any of the instructor-led classes we offer.
Therefore, if I configure the Amelia booking system in such a way that I set a price for the classes, I don't see any way to identify certain clients (the gym members who pay a monthly fee) so that these members can also book online, but without Amelia requiring them to pay for the class they want to book.
In summary, I find it easy to set up the booking system for instructor-led classes, but I can't find a way to distinguish a specific group of users (the gym members) to tell Amelia that these clients, using their email identification, can book online without needing to pay for the classes.
I imagine that if Amelia is used in many gyms like mine, this issue must have already come up, and I assume you have a solution so that certain gym clients can access bookings without having to pay for them.
Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunatelly, currently, Amelia doesn't have the membership option. We are looking forward to adding this option in future updates. There is some workarounds with the third-party plugins, but we are not able to provide support regarding those plugins since we are not working with any of them. Instead, feel free to find more information regarding our feature "packages" on this link.
Packages in the Amelia Booking plugin are made to give you the option to create a package of multiple appointments from the same or different services and give a discount to the total price to attract your customers more.
And what are those third-party plugins that could help me with this matter while you incorporate the membership option? Regarding the package feature, it could be an option to create a package to offer to these monthly paying members, but I have another question: Could I create this package and manually assign it to specific Amelia customers? Or do they have to purchase it directly?
Some users use memberpress as a membership plugin. Memberpress has an addon to link your membership levels to any WordPress user role. As for the packages, you can do both, actually. Of course, customers have the option to book packages for the front end, but you can also book the appointments manually from the backend for those customers. More information on this link.
