I would like to upgrade to one of your paid plans. I have a particular need for a "Choice Limit" function in my form options that would display a particular shift for volunteer sign ups. Similar to how Sign Up genius behaves. This would be inline with the question (shift choice) and display as 5/0 - Five shifts available - zero taken. Then 5/1 - Five available, one taken and so on. I currently have this function programmed in a google apps script and it behaves appropriately. It is still visible once exhausted (all 5 shifts taken: 5/5) but the cell it's in turns red. Do you have anyone that will be available to help me with some custom programming on a form that would have this type of behavior.??
I'm also curious to know what type of control I have as it relates to where the form submission data goes. It seems there might be a way to connect to google sheets, but is there a way to direct certain field of data to certain tabs on the google sheet?
I am sorry, but I am struggling to follow all these details.
We are not familiar with "Sign up genus" and what it is exactly and we also do not have any advanced functions in our Plugin that behaves as you described, such as conditional logic which would limit a 'choice' for an editable field ( or filter field) if we are talking about editing or filtering of data for input.
If I understand, you will need an editable table?
If that is the case, you won't be able to link a table to a Google Sheet with formulas.
If you need to include any formulas/scripts in your source Google Sheet and wish to use that as source data for our table(s), it can only be done as explained on this Documentation.
As you can see there, the idea is to make a new blank tab or Sheet, which has 'importrange' in cell A1, to only pass the data from your original Sheet, after the formula is finished, so it just takes the 'finished values' for our table.
But this type of table (linked from Google Sheet) can not be made editable in our Plugin. It can only synchronize with the editing from the source.
If you need an editable table, you can try to import data from that Sheet, though, which makes a new Manual ( editable) Table via our Plugin in your SQL database, but I can't guarantee it will work perfectly as intended, depending on the formulas used on the original Sheet.
You can also update existing Manual ( imported) tables via file upload as per this documentation.
2. When it comes to Form Plugins, we have native integrations with the following :
If you wish an editable table in our Plugin, this is only possible with the Gravity Forms. That integration also has our server-side processing available, which is useful for larger tables ( more than coule thousand rows) for increased loading performance.
But we can not say about these Form Plugins ( if any of them has these options for entries) -
if you can get one of them to work with that "Choice Limit" function" in any Form options, you can also reach out to these Form Plugin Support Teams and check with them, we are not familiar if that is possible.
We can only guarantee our native integration works with the core "Form Plugin" features and if any native feature like that has an issue, our Support covers debugging/troubleshooting it.
If you use any add-on for one of these Form Plugins and a submission/field is made by some add-on, we can't guarantee that will work with our Table, and we don't offer support for that part.
We are also unable to offer any custom work.
Maybe this can be done with some custom work, but our developers are very busy at the moment, working on some priority tasks and fixing bugs and issues with our plugins, so they won't have the time for custom work in the near future.
I'm also curious to know what type of control I have as it relates to where the form submission data goes. It seems there might be a way to connect to google sheets, but is there a way to direct certain field of data to certain tabs on the google sheet?
At the moment, we don't have any native feature to achieve a 'custom mapping', such as specific 'cell mapping' or similar;
It is also not possible to use multiple tabs on the same Sheet as source for the same table.
In other words, each Tab from a Google Sheet has a unique URL and one Tab can only be used to connect with one Table.
And i just wanted to point out that you can try wpDataTables before purchasing
on our sandbox Demo sites ( you can find links for the main plugin Demo,
as well as add-on Demos, in my signature),
and there is a 15-day money-back guarantee period,
so if you purchase the plugin, you can safely fully test it out, and if it doesn't fit your needs you can request and receive a refund in that period. ( same goes for all plugins and add-ons)
Thank you Milos - First I should apologize because I think I blended my question about form behaviors AND display behaviors (wpData Tables) so it was confusing.
I will be purchasing Gravity Forms & Gravity Perks (has the form limit possibility) - then I will use your sandbox feature to test everything.
