Whenever someone books a certain type of appointment (in-person music lesson) on my website, what should be a 1 hour appointment is made into a 5-hour appointment in the integrated Google Calendar.... I've double checked the appointment duration settings and the buffer time settings, everything looks good. I've looked into the integration settings in Amelia and everything is how it normally is. I've looked into the Google Calendar settings and found nothing helpful there. Perhaps this issue has started with the latest update, since it was not an issue before and I have not changed any settings. Please help!
Thanks for reaching out to us. Nothing has been changed with the latest update and no issues like this have been reported previously. Can you please provide the WP admin credentials so I can log in to take a better look?
Thanks, saw the credentials, but I'm not able to find the URL of your website. Tried to find it from previous tickets but it doesn't work with these credentials.
Thanks for the additional information. I was able to reproduce the issue, I can see that the times are added on the Google Calendar, but not sure why. While I investigate this with devs / QA, may I suggest updating to Amelia 7.8 in the meantime? I suppose this is related to the Google Calendar settings, but just to speed up things, you can update and see if there are any changes.
Apologies for the delayed answer. Apparently, this is related to the timezone configuration. For example, I've created a new employee who has the timezone configured to NewYork (same as the wordpress timezone) but my calendar is configured to my location (Belgrade). Of course, there is a time difference. If I change the employee timezone to Belgrade
Then the appointment on the Calendar is shown with the precise time. Like this
If your employee is located in NewYork, and you change the calendar timezone to NewYork, you would also see the correct time. So, the timezone configuration is in question here and you want to double-check this.
Thank you for your time. I looked into my settings and all of my time zones are already set to New York. This is including my Wordpress, Amelia Employee, and Google Calendar Time Zones. I just double checked and tested again and I'm still getting the same issue (5 hours being added to the appointment). I'm testing with one of my most-scheduled services: 30-minute In-person lesson. I noticed you tested using a "make-up" lesson. I'm having my colleague update Amelia as soon as possible.
This is not related to a specific service, this is related to timezone settings. I've just tested one more time. Everything is changed to the same timezone, so the WordPress settings is configured to Belgrade, the employee is configured to Belgrade, and my Google Calendar is configured to Belgrade, so when I book a test appointment and change from pending to approve, here is how I see the appointment
I tested again after double checking all the time zones (I didn't change any) and everything worked! Thank you so much for your time. The issue seems to be resolved.
That's great to see, you are welcome. Of course, should you have any other questions or issues, as you already know, feel free to reach out to us on a new ticket and we will kindly provide assistance.

I emailed you about the updated credentials and the URL. Also, I sent a log file for the Google calendar integration. Any updates on this?
