I’m a hypnotherapist and my clients’ treatments must all begin with an initial consultation ahead of any other type of treatment. How do I set this up please? My site lists every type of treatment I offer, in order that clients can book further sessions, but I’m hoping for a way ‘force’ clients to ensure their first booking is for an initial consultation? Can a pop-up be added to say something like ‘is this your first appointment? If so, all clients must book an initial consultation as their first appointment? Or do you have another solution to this at all please? Thanks so much for any help you can provide. In addition, I’d also like to know if there’s a way of offering the client to select between online or face to face at the point of booking? Ideally without me having to duplicate every session I provide and specify whether it’s online or face to face? Thanks!!
Thanks for reaching out to us. . Looking at your use case, you would need something like a mandatory booking, but unfortunately, Amelia currently doesn't have this option. Customers can book an initial appointment, but this wont make it mandatory to book the other appointments. I'm thinking of the Package feature, but I'm sure if this fits your needs, since when a customer buys a package, he also needs to make the appointments for that package, and this is where you have the option to make the appointments mandatory. You can add a custom message, though, by adding custom fields. Using the custom fields you can inform them regarding the bookings.
As for the online vs. face-to-face appointments, the difference is that you can add the zoom links for online bookings, whether for the "on site" meetings, this is already configured by default. (there is no dedicated method or option to differentiate these two).
Thank you so much for your response. Just one more question please:
Is it possible to link notifications to a service, so if they book one service they receive a particular confirmation notification and if they book another they receive a different one?
If this is possible, how can it be acheived please?
Yes, but you would need to create a new custom notifications and then assign them to particular service/s. In notifications tabs, you will find this option to create new notifications
Stefan is out of the office so I will step in for him. We are glad to hear that Stefan has helped you and that all is fine now and should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
