I am facing an issue with the Amelia booking plugin that is critical for our business, particularly for clients who purchase packages and wish to book appointments for themselves along with friends or family. The challenge occurs when a single client tries to book multiple services at the same time slot. Here are the details:
Scenario:
We have multiple resources (e.g., three float rooms) and corresponding employees configured in Amelia, allowing different clients to book these resources simultaneously.
The cart feature is enabled, allowing clients to book multiple services in one session.
Issue:
When a client attempts to book two or more services that overlap in the same time slot (e.g., a 14:00 booking for two different float rooms), the system marks the time slot as unavailable for the second booking attempt by the same client.
This issue is preventing clients from booking multiple services at the same time for themselves and others when using packages.
Why Group Booking is Inadequate:
The Group Booking option does not meet our needs because, for a single appointment booked for 2 or 3 people, only one service from the package would be deducted.
Expected Behavior:
We need the system to allow a single client to book multiple services of the same type using different resources (e.g., different float rooms) at the same time slot, with each booking treated as an individual appointment and deducted separately from the package.
Steps Taken:
We have ensured that resources are correctly configured and that the cart feature is enabled.
Despite this, the system prevents the same client from booking overlapping time slots for multiple services of the same type and different types.
Could you please assist in resolving this issue or advise if there is a workaround that allows the same client to book multiple services simultaneously without encountering this restriction? This functionality is essential for clients booking appointments for groups, especially those using packages.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
