Can't edit my current Form

    Hi,

I can't edit my current form. I created a form 1 year ago on a Wordpress website that runs Elementor, and now I don't know how to edit it.

I'm pretty sure that I always edited it by going into "Personnalise" and click on "Step-by-Step Booking Form 2.0" and I'd be able to edit it. But now when I do that it makes me create a brand new one.

I feel like one of your updates could have wiped the possibility to edit my previous form ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards,

    Sylvain

    Hi Backtik,

Thanks for reaching out to us. We haven't made any changes regarding the booking form with the recent updates, perhaps there is a conflict with the WP users? Not all WP users have permission to edit or change the settings in the backend. Booking forms can be customized in "Customize" section (or Personnalise depending on the translation, but this is not the place where you create a new booking form. All changes here will be applied to the booking form on all pages.

Thanks a lot for your quick answer.

I tried with other accounts but it's the same. So in the Customize menu (attachment 1), I cannot find the form that I already created.

As I said, I'm pretty certain it was "Step-by-Step Booking Form 2.0", and now it just brings me back to a new one (attachment 2). I really can't find the way to edit the form that's currently on my website.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Best Regards,

    Sylvain

    Hi Backtik,

Thanks for the screenshot, but allow me to explain a bit more. The booking form template is not saved anywhere, any changes you've made to the booking form will be applied to the same booking form, no matter on which page is located.  For example, if you change the color of the buttons in Step by Step v2 in the Customize section, it will be applied to the Step by Step Booking form, no matter on which page is located. In other words, there is no option to save a template and then have multiple templates where the colors will be different on one template and on another template and etc.

Also, you need to make sure that you display the correct version of the booking form that you edit first. If you edit the Step by Step 2.0, you want to use the shortcode for Step by Step 2.0, as well.

    I hope it helps.

    Thanks for your answer.

It makes sense for the style. If I change the color, it will change it everywhere. But I don't understand when it comes to the content. I guess it's the same, what you mean is that I couldn't have 2 different forms with different content?

But I only have one that I customized the content from, and now I have no idea where to edit it without having to start all over again. I made sure that I displayed the correct version of the booking form: none of them are customized, even though I do have a custom one currently running on my website.

    Thanks in advance!

I meant you cant have two different booking forms of the same type. For example, you have a page 1 with the Step by Step v2 and you have a page 2 with the same Step by Step v2. If you change a color or a label in Customize settings, it will be changed on both pages, therefore there is no option to save a "template" and then have multiple templates of the same booking page. You've mentioned custom booking form, perhaps you've customized it with the other plugins or with the custom CSS code?
