If you choose not to enable this option, Amelia will generate a unique access token and send it to the customer’s email address. With the “Customer Panel Access” email enabled, customers will be prompted to enter their email address to access the panel. Amelia will then create a unique access token that automatically logs the customer into the panel. This token is exclusively sent to the provided email address, ensuring that only individuals with access to that email can access the panel.
have done all the steps however it will take customers straight to the .../customer-panel
should it not instead take them into their customer settings?
Thanks for reaching out to us. This is how ti should work. When the customer panel is configured, each time a customer books an appointment, an email "customer panel" will be sent to the customer. It looks like this
This is the option that tells Amelia if the password is required from the customers or if they will receive an access link. Of course, if enabled, then the customers would need to enter their credentials.
Also, make sure that the customer panel is configured properly. You can follow the instructions from this link.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I'm not sure if you received my previous message, but I've asked for the WP admin credentials. If there is a chance, please provide them so I can log in to have a better look and test it.

Apologies, but i don't see any images with the credentials. I've double-checked the previous conversation and my email as well, but nothing can be found. Can you please send them here (just copy / paste) ?
Thanks for the access. The Customer panel notification template is not even turned on, as well as the Customer Panel option in User Role settings.
Also, the placeholder is not correct here
In User Role settings, you need to enable the Customer Panel and insert the URL of the webpage where the customer panel is located
Instead of the URL, you should insert the placeholder "customer_panel_url" since this placeholder will read the information where the customer panel is located, the URL of the webpage.
Please note that the customer needs to be registered already in Amelia, since Amelia needs to recognize the email where to send the reset email.
Now, to check this, you go to the customer panel page, enter the email and you will see this message
as mentioned from previous correspondences I had all the below setup exactly as to what you have specified (I've spent 2 days watching youtube and reading).
however, where to beyond the below?
they click on the link and open this page:
they don't have credentials yet!!
you mentioned below they need to be registered in amelia, how do they do that ? they just purchased their 1st booking with us and received an email with the link to manage it....
Apologies for the delayed answer (please note that we don't work on weekends). I've noticed that you have PHP mail settings configured. While the email will essentially work, we don't recommend PHP since the emails are marked as spam and it takes more to be sent. Instead, we recommend SMTP protocol for sending emails in Amelia. You can find more information on this link.
You can configure the email according to these settings and let me know if it works.
I've just tested again. On the customer panel page, I enter my email
The activation link is sent to the email entered
This is the email that I've received with the link to the customer panel
If I click on the link, I'm being forwarded the customer panel
Some important things to note -
The customer is registered in Amelia when he creates a booking and therefore the email is recognized by Amelia.
When I tested this I was logged out of the WP, so everything was tested in Incognito mode to replicate the same step as would the customer do.
The access link was on the customer panel since you've disabled the option "Require password for login" and therefore, Amelia automatically logged me into the customer panel.

Hi Stefan,
its all configured correctly, i have tried these below settings. not working from the customer side.
somehow once the customer creates a password it sends them back to /wp-login
and when i manually go to /customer-panel newly created password doesn't work
doing my head in last 7 hours.
launching tom event starts on Friday I cant afford to wait anymore
even a customer panel access with a token is asking for a password.

i think that is the missing step
Hi Stefan,
Any update?
upon further reading. the missing step seems to be "Wordpress/Amelia" not sending the email to create a password once a user books a time.
correct me if I'm wrong pls?
regards,
Rodney

hi Stefan.
I have done it and it works similar to the previous setup.
once again the missing link is when the customer sets up the email to the customer panel to login.
the link when they setup the password takes them back to wp-admin to login instead of /customer-panel
Thank you for all your help!

Thank you, Stefan.
I disabled the password last night and put a link on the main page for customers to access the customer panel.
I guess that is the best workaround for now. it works fine so it's all good I will leave it as is for now.
thank you for all your help I appreciate it.
regards,
Rodney
Hi Rodney,
