Amelia bookings will be made & paid for by customers through our site, and then despite having the payment come through, their bookings disappear on Amelia's system.
Not only that, but their customer profile on Amelia, as well as their Wordpress user profile disappear. (We have the setting on in Amelia that creates an account for any new customers that make a booking)
So the only trace of their booking is their payment..
This has led to many 'phantom bookings' we have had to work around, and it is quite stressful while we have been trying to troubleshoot the issue.
Any help/insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated, thank you !!
The only example where payments are registered but no appointment is made is when you're using WooCommerce as a payment integration. There are rules in Amelia Settings/Payments -> when you expand the WooCommerce tab. You would need to create rules for "Order Creation" and "Order Update" so every WooCommerce status is covered in both cases. If, for example, the initial order status in WooCommerce is "Pending Payment", but there's no rule in Amelia for "Order Creation" when this happens, Amelia won't be able to create a booking.
This is, however, the first time I hear that customers in Amelia disappear once they are created. If there's no appointment made, and the customer is new, this could be the reason why the customer is not created, but there is nothing in Amelia that could delete a customer once it's created.
