Hi! So I got an issue where after the user submit the form, they should receive an email and Google Meet link automatically in the calendar. But that doesn't happen in my case. I've integrate google console credentials and make sure that the app in google console published externally. I also make sure everything in on the right place but still no luck.
Thanks for reaching out to us. Have you configured the email configuration properly? If I understand properly emails are not sent at all or just the Google Meet link is missing? SMTP protocol should be used for email settings. If you haven't checked, please check this link for more information regarding the notifications.
So basically if my user submitted the form, they should have got an email invitation for the appointment right? That doesn’t happen on my case. In fact I don’t got any email. Also in the calendar, the google meet doesn’t automatically generate any meeting link. If you got time, allow me to show you what happened via google meet if you don’t mind
I found the solution for the email. But another issue that I got is that google meet doesn't generate any link. Do you have any idea on why this happens?
Great. Well, the Google Meet invite is sent separately, when an event is booked, but if you want to have the Google Meet links in notifications templates, you would need to add the placeholders in the template. You can find them in the expanding menu
Please note that for each service, you need to enable the Google Meet option in settings first in order to be rendered later in emails.
So I already turned the Google Meet Option in the integration, but I still got no link on the calendar. So even though I set it up, I don't think the link will appear. I've attached a sample of an event to make it clearer. As you can see, the calendar doesn't have any google meet link on it.
Apologies for the delayed answer. You need to add the placeholder for Google Meet in Event Title and Description field in the Google Calendar integration
By default, this link is only rendered in a notification that is sent to the customer and employee. Please, try and let me know if it works.
I've already done what you told me and no luck. Also I got another issue on hand so as you can see in the Image 1, I submit my appointment for [email protected]. But when I look at the dashboard, somehow the email in the customer dashboard shows another email as shown in Image 2.
Appointment Submission
When I look at the calendar for [email protected], I found the invitation but still no Google Meet link there.
As you can see, in [email protected] should have got the email from the submission above. But I got no email nor calendar invitation there
Also, here's the screenshot of the placeholder in Settings - Integration
Apologies for the delayed answer. The reason why you are seeing a different name is because the same phone number has been entered. As you can see customer [email protected] has the same phone number as [email protected]. The Google Meet invite should render the button like this, by default, apologize for the misunderstanding.
Please, double-check the Google Calendar integration and please note that you would need to enable Google Meet in service settings, as well, if you want the Google Meet to be rendered when a particular service is booked.
