We are experiencing a critical issue with our Stripe payment gateway integration on WP Amelia, affecting our international clients. Since July 1st, all international payments have been declined.
Upon consulting with Stripe, we were informed that new regulations in India require specific customer details (Name, Phone, Email, and Address) to be included in a prescribed format. More information can be found here: Stripe Documentation on International Payments.
To comply with these regulations, I used the metadata option in the Stripe payment gateway settings in WP Amelia and added the required details. However, the payments are still being declined. According to Stripe customer support, the issue persists because the information is not being transmitted in the correct format.
For your reference, I have attached a screenshot of the current metadata setup.
Could you please assist us in resolving this issue as soon as possible? Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated, as it is impacting our ability to process payments from international clients.
We can't actually create new customers in Stripe using the existing integration, and that's been an issue for some time now. I escalated this to our development team and I hope they'll be able to modify the integration in one of our upcoming updates.
I understand the urgency and I'll do my best to speed it up, but I can't make any promises.

Hello Nitin.
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We can't actually create new customers in Stripe using the existing integration, and that's been an issue for some time now. I escalated this to our development team and I hope they'll be able to modify the integration in one of our upcoming updates.
I understand the urgency and I'll do my best to speed it up, but I can't make any promises.
Kind Regards,

This has become even more urgent for us now as not just the international but even Indian payments are facing issues.
I'm sorry to hear that, Nitin.
I've escalated this to our developers, and I hope they'll be able to issue a fix soon.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

One more question - since this is going to be included in one of our upcoming updates, is the address necessary or is it optional?
Kind Regards,

Hi,
For international payments, it is still not working
Hello Nitin.
If you have updated to the newest 7.7.1 version, please enable the address fields in payment settings for Stripe.
If the customers are created accurately for international payment, please contact Stripe support for more details.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
