    Good morning,

I hope this message finds you well.

I would like to request your assistance as I am developing a website on WordPress and using your Amelia booking plugin.

The website is an online platform that allows individual clients to book online sessions with health professionals who offer their services on the site. Each health professional has access to their front-end employee panel to set their weekly work schedule and review the services they are assigned to, including the prices and capacity of each service. However, I cannot find how to customize time slots (which allow me to set the duration of my sessions and calculate these time slots correctly in the professional's booking panel) and which should be different from the time blocks established by other professionals.

Here’s an example: I am a professional offering Self-improvement Coaching sessions that last 45 minutes, but both the Self-improvement service and the default time slot configured by the site administrator are set to 1 hour.

    1. How can I ensure that the durations of my services and prices do not depend on what the site administrator establishes? The idea is that each professional determines the duration of their sessions, and the available time slots in their booking panel are calculated based on their configuration, not on the service settings or the general settings of Amelia.

    2. How can I ensure that a service with different durations and prices does not allow a client to book sessions that are longer or shorter than the required time?

    3. If only custom durations are set up by administrator (lets suppose sessions of 15, 30, 45 mins) with a price accordingly to the time (default slot service would be 1 hour). In case of someone offering services of one hour, if this person would not like to be booked for less time than 1 hour, how this case of use would be handled in Amelia? - For instance. A healthy nutrition coach works only with one hour per session, but his service is configured to admit/accept booking below one hour (30 mins, lets suppose), how can he avoid to be booked in these slots (below his threshold)? Only available for 1 hour bookings...

Thank you in advance for your response and help in these situations exposed above

    Regards

    Hello Jose.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Amelia is not designed to work as an outsourcing platform, so employees do not have the ability to modify the durations of services. Only administrators can configure services and configure their custom duration. The employee can only edit or create new appointments based on services administrators created.

If you define two services (one that lasts 45 minutes, and one that lasts 1 hour), the customers will need to choose the service before they get to the calendar and select a date and the time for the appointment, so they cannot book a service that's longer or shorter than what's been defined. The Custom Duration, mentioned above, allows you to configure a service that has multiple durations (a single service that can last 1-hour, 2-hours, 3-hours, etc. based on what the customer chooses to book).

There's no way you can block the ability for customers to book shorter slots if they are defined in a service - the only workaround would be to configure multiple services - unique per employee.

    Kind Regards,
