Hello, Amelia team, thank you so much for your support and diligent attention to our issues with Amelia booking system. We have a profound trust in your product and are willing to continue with this wonderful product.
However, currently we are having an issue with a service duration setting. We have several employees and each of them does a service (let's say hybrid full set) but all of the employees have different levels of skills and working time, and we want to make customizable service duration time for each employee.
Thus, based on the aforementioned information, we would be incredibly grateful for your help in this matter.
Thanks for reaching out to us. First of all, you need to have separate employees assigned to separate services. The timeslots available depend on the employee work hours and service duration. For each service, you can configure a custom duration, and that means that the customers will see the different custom durations on the booking form once they choose a service. You can find more information on this link.
Please, let me know if you have any other questions or issues.
As per the link instruction, I started to make additional time slots for each service. However, when I make a custom time switching the toggle on service duration it changes for all employees and list of custom times for an employee becomes inactive (see the attached print screen).
Make sure that each employee is assigned to each service. In this way, you can control the work hours for each service separately and therefore the service custom duration will be only applied to an employee assigned to a service. According to the screenshot, it looks like all employees are assigned to this particular service.
Let me make it clearer with an example. We have 4 employees (1, 2, 3, 4), and services (A, B, C, and D). Employees 1-3 are capable of doing all services but #4 can do only A, B, and C. Thus, I cannot create additional services for each employee as it will contradict and mess up the service list. Additionally, A is more experienced and can finish service A withing an hour, while 2, 3, 4 can make it within two hours. So, when I toggle custom duration and pricing for a service A to make it one hour for employee 1, it also affects employees 2, 3, and 4.
Thanks for the addtional information, but this is what I was actually referring to. If there are multiple employees assigned to one service, each change in service settings will be applied to all employees because, just as you can configure the service duration and pricing, you can also configure the pricing per employee for the same service. That being said, if there is a custom duration for service A, each time a customer chooses service A (or other employees) it will be visible for all employees. That is why is recommend to completely separate the service and employee from others (employee A - service A)
Our customers choose services that have certain dedicated pages, where they can choose an employee linked to a particular location. Making additional services assigned to each employee will make confusion not only for customers but for admins as well.
Are there any other solutions you could suggest to us?
Unfortunatelly no, since as explained, if the service is assigned to multiple employees, all changes will be visible for all employees since they are related to each other. For example, if you have a service A and three employees, once a customer chooses service A, he can see the work hours from all three employees. Services / employees / location are all related to each other.
