Please please please can there be an option to change the 'Bringing anyone with you?' option to a total number of people. I have a restaurant and use Amelia as my booking system however, people tend to not read the actual words on the screen and assume that it is a Total number of people as opposed to additional people. This leads to many many emails asking why customers have been overcharged for bookings and many emails asking to change the number of people for a booking. Granted, this is not our fault but the fault of our customers, we would still like to fix the issue on the backend to avoid confusion. Please can this just be an optional setting. Additionally, changing the label in the 'Customize' section doesn't work as the whole 'Additional people' section will add +1 onto whatever their total party size is so they will still be overcharged and we as the restaurant cannot prepare for the correct number of people if they do not get in contact with us. This leads to us having to scramble for a correct table for the right amount of people as opposed to the prepared table for the incorrect amount of people. Either allow us to make it a total or add the option to remove the +1 so we can just change the label and remove the +1 modifier to the total number of people for the booking.
Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunatelly, currently, the logic is configured to set the +1 for customers, so it calculates the customer who is booking plus the additional customers. The current solution would be to inform the customers about this, but feel free to search through our feature suggestion page, to see if someone may have already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
