We are looking to use the Appointments feature, but we noticed that for some of our services, we would like to be able to border of the appointment and contain it to a certain period.
For example: we have a beekeeper event that should only be held in the Summer as bees don't like to show themselves in Winter.
We have found that we could use holidays of a custom-made employer (f.e.: beekeeper-summer) who would have holidays for the rest of the year to get this to work; but creating a custom employer for all these cases would cause a scheduling conflict I fear as the actual person (f.e.: alex) might already be booked (f.e.: for a barbeque) under their actual name.
Any way to get this feature to work like this, or is there a fix for these kind of employer-conflicts?
Well, the only solution would be to configure a certain time period for an employee, that's correct. The current work hours setup for an employee will repeat weekly, and the only solution would be to either configure days off or special days. For example, you can just configure the special days during summer period, while the rest of the date will remain unavailable. To avoid any conflict, you want to make sure that there is only one employee assigned to each service. Since the availability comes from the employee work hours, and no other employees are assigned to the same service, only the work hours from the employee assigned will be read.

Hi Loft33,
