    Hi there,

I have acquired a private swim business. We are in the process of rebranding and building a new website. The url I have provided is the archaic websie of the previous owners which we are upgrading and building a new booking and payment platform. We have looked at predone platforms for our business but for what we're looking for they're either VERY expensive in the $3k+ per month range OR they don't fit our needs.

Amelia looks like it may do the trick. One big feature we would need for our use case in packages is that we book swim sets. For example, a summer swim set would be July 2-August 28th. The customer chooses a day of the week and time and they get that day and time for the duration of the set (package). We cannot have it so that the customer themselves choose all of these dates when booking as they simply won't do it or they'll book other times, etc. which would be a disaster. Can we offer basically locked packages where they choose the day and time and they automatically register for that time for a 14 lesson package?

As for our flow, the customer will choose location first then service and then date... we don't need to give them the option of picking the instructor. Is this possible in Amelia?

I hope to hear back from you soon as we're looking to have this fully built by June 30.

    Hello Zach,

Thank you for reaching out. Congratulations on acquiring your private swim business and embarking on rebranding and building a new website. Amelia could indeed fit your needs, especially with its flexibility in booking and payment options.

    To address your specific requirements:

    1. Packages: Currently, Amelia does not support automatically locked packages where a customer selects a day and time for the entire duration of the package. Each appointment from a package must be booked separately by the customer.
    2. Booking Flow: You can set up Amelia to allow customers to choose the location first, then the service, and finally the date, without giving them the option to select the instructor.

This setup should suit your swim set bookings and streamline the process for your customers.

If you have any further questions or need more details, please let us know. We aim to have everything ready by June 30th. Looking forward to helping you set this up!

    Kind Regards,

    Hi there,

how our customer journey works is we have 4 sessions per year... Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. For example, for Winter it's 12 weeks and customers choose the location, the day of the week and the time and they get that for the full 12 week set.

Can you think of how we could make this work with Amelia?

    Hello Zach,

Amelia does not have a built-in feature to directly support booking a series of recurring appointments in the manner you described, where a customer chooses a location, day, and time for a full 12-week session. However, here are a few potential workarounds:

    1. Packages Feature: You can use the packages feature in Amelia to create a package that includes 12 sessions. However, customers would need to book each session individually within the package, which may not be as seamless as you need.
    2. Recurring Appointments: Although Amelia supports recurring appointments, they typically require the customer to book each session in a series. This might be a bit cumbersome if you want to ensure they book the exact same time slot each week for 12 weeks.
    3. Custom Development: For a fully seamless experience, you might need some custom development to extend Amelia's functionality. This could involve creating a custom booking form that collects the location, day, and time preferences, and then automatically books the customer for all 12 sessions in the specified time slot.
    4. Manual Booking: Another approach could be manually handling the bookings. Customers could submit their preferred schedule via a form, and then you or your staff could manually set up the recurring appointments in Amelia.

While Amelia offers many robust features, the specific requirement to book a fixed schedule over multiple weeks with a single booking action is currently not fully supported. If you have further questions or need assistance exploring these options, please let us know.
