I have the latest update and is making problems with the time slots. I have only one employee, he can take bookings of 1 hour or 30 minutes long, and no more than 10 people at the same time.
The problem comes with the booking form, it is allowing 20 people at the same time (for example: 10 bookings from 16:00 to 16:30, and 10 bookings from 16:00 to 17:00, so there is half an hour with 20 people).
What is more, when booking, the timetable is wrong, we work from 16:00 to 21:00, and if you try to book 30 minutes, the last two time slots (20:00-20:30 and 20:30-21:00) will not be shown, and if you try to book 1 hour, it adds a wrong option (20:30-21:30, we close at 21:00).
Thanks for reaching out to us. The capacity configured for a certain service will be applied to all timeslots on the booking form. For example, if you have a service with the maximum capacity set to 10 and you have two timeslots configured, customers will be able to book both timeslots (individually) until the maximum capacity is reached. Of course, this will work if the option in Appointment is enabled.
Regarding the timetable, I suppose you have a custom duration configured? Can you send a screenshot of the employee work hours configuration?
Attached there is proof that the capacity is not working properly, between 17:30 and 18:00 there are 16 people at the same time when our maximum capacity is 10 people. The option of "allow people over maximum capacity" is deactivated, so I don't know what's not working or what I have to do.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Thanks for the access. Perhaps, I haven't explained properly how this works. I was actually referring to this option - Permitir la reserva por debajo de la capacidad mínima: in Appointment settings. Currently, I see that it's enabled on your website, but what this allows your customers is the option to book the same timeslots multiple times.
For example -
If i book one timeslot for service "Reserva normal gatos", the same time timeslot will be available for booking for other customers, so they can book it multiple times, but Amelia won't let the other customers book the timeslot over the capacity configured for a certain service.
I understand how this works, but it is not working properly. Today we had 20 people at the same time due to this error, when our maximum capacity is 10 people. Please check out the attached photo, between 19:00 and 19:30 we have 20 people (10 booked from 18:30 to 19:30, and the other 10 from 19:00 to 19:30) Please tell me what to do.
As previously explained, if this is enabled with the capacity set to 2 than two, your customers will be able to book the same timeslot multiple times. Also, do not forget to configure your timezone settings. It should be configured to the nearest city in your timezone instead of UTC.
My local has a capacity of 10 people. Therefore I need my customers to be able to make multiple bookings for the same timeslot, but just up to 10 people.
I have only one employee “zona de gatos”, that offers only one service called “reserva normal”. This service can be booked for 1 hour or for half an hour and only until the 10 spaces are full (the 10 spaces do not need to be filled by the same person).
I have “permitir la reserva por debajo de la capacidad mínima” enabled, since I need my customers to be able to make multiple bookings for the same timeslot, but just up to 10 people.
I have “permitir la reserva por encima de la capacidad máxima” disabled since I do not want more than 10 people at the same time.
What I am trying to explain is that this second option I have DISABLED is working as if it was ENABLED. I’ve having 20 people appeared at the same timeslot since the half an hour option and the one hour option are overlapping.
Please I need this fixed asap since it is causing me big problems. Once again, please check the pictures I have been sending you to see more clearly what I’m trying to explain.
I have had Amelia for more than a year and it has worked properly until now, I do not want to change to another plugin but if this can’t be solved I won’t have other option.
In case you can not solve this problem, is there anyone else I can talk to? Maybe someone that speaks Spanish in case we are not understanding each other due to a language barrier?
Apologies for the delayed answer, I took some time to reproduce the use case. I've configured all the settings as you and apparently the timeslots are overlapping because of the custom service duration. Let me investigate with the QA team/developers and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Would you be able to provide us with a Staging site, along with WP-admin (Administrator) user, FTP credentials so we can avoid any conflict on the production site?
I’m so glad we finally understood each other. Sadly I do not know how to provide you those credentials you need, would you mind guiding me on how to do it?
Meanwhile, while i was waiting for your answer, I went ahead and tested this use case with QA team and developers. The setup is the same, but we weren't able to reproduce the issue on our end, let me explain. At first, we thought the issue was the overlapping timeslot, but this is probably because of the wrong configuration of the timezone settings. With the timezone settings correctly configured, we tried to book the appointment for the service that has a custom duration configured (exactly like yours). Assuming that the service only has one employee assigned, and there is already an appointment booked (with the capacity 10/10), Amelia doesn't offer the timeslot in between. For example, the timeslot booked is 5 PM with a capacity 10/10 with a duration of 30 minutes.
But if you go to the booking form and select the same service, the timeslots offered are only before and after this appointment time, so 4 pm to 4:30 PM (skipping 5 pm) and then 5:30PM to 6PM and etc.
It's the same for the 1h duration, but the screenshot you've provided shows that the appointments are booked from the backend. (The blue color means that it's booked from the backend)
Looking at this screenshot, you can see that the appointment booked for 7 PM has a duration of 30 minutes, but the appointment that has a duration of 1 hour starts from 7:30 PM, which is exactly when the first appointment ends (7:30 PM), therefore there is no overlapping.
So the problem comes when booking from the backend then? Please check last 8th of August, is true that the bookings made from the frontend do not overlap but if we count the ones made from the backend they do overpass the 10 people limit. How can I do it so in the rush of the work I do not mess up? Is there a way?
Today 14th of August we have 11 people from 18:30 to 19:00 and 15 from 19:00 to 19:30!!! All bookings were made by customers from the front end. Please check the pictures attached.
When we noticed, we booked the rest of the spaces with the name “EVA CRUCES” so no more people can come at the same time. But noticed we made that bookings AFTER the problem occurred.
I even made a sketch to ensure I was understanding everything correctly, please see it attached too.
What is more, when people book for 1 hour, and even though settings are set to charge the whole amount, it only charges them as they were staying half an hour.
But looking at the 6 PM timeslot only Adrian booked the appointment for 30 minutes which is then 18:00 to 18:30. The rest of the customers booked the appointment for 1 hour, which is 18:00 to 19:00, and that's a total of 7 people
If you take a look at the 18:30 timeslot, you can only see that Natalia booked the 1h appointment for 6 people, excluding EVA (your booking), which is also 6 people in total.
So, to summarize, there is 1 appointment from 18:00 to 18:30 for 30 minutes
7 appointments from 18:00 to 19:00 for 1 hour
And 6 appointments from 18:30 to 19:00 but for 1 hour timeslot. Notice that the 1 hour appointments can be booked from 18:30, this is because you have a custom service duration configured for service.
bookings of 30’ and 1h are taken by the same employee, so when Natalia booked for 6 people, there were already 5, total of 11 (remember our limit is 10). Check the sketch if needed. If this isn’t solved I will be changing to another plugin
It took a while, but we've managed to reproduce the issue on version Amelia 7.5.1 that you currently have. We weren't able to reproduce the issue on Amelia 7.7.1 (our latest version). So, can you please update to this version and let us know if it happens again?
Hi!

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

I hope it helps.

Hi Jean,
But looking at the 6 PM timeslot only Adrian booked the appointment for 30 minutes which is then 18:00 to 18:30.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
