I am currently using the Amelia plugin for WordPress to manage our business's appointments and schedules. I have encountered a visibility issue that I need assistance with.
We have multiple locations and employees, and I would like to know if it is possible to configure the plugin so that an Amelia employee can access the backend as a wordpress user and visualize information on the calendar and finance sections only for the locations assigned to them.
Currently, it appears that employees can view information across all locations, which is not ideal for our operational needs.
Specifically, I am requesting:
Calendar Visibility: Employees should only see the appointments and schedules for the locations they are assigned to.
Finance Visibility: Employees should only access financial data related to their assigned locations.
Could you please let me know if this functionality is currently available or if there are any workarounds or upcoming updates that might address this issue?
Thank you for reaching out to the Amelia Support Team.
Regarding your query, Amelia is designed to ensure that employees only see data related to their own appointments. This includes both calendar visibility and financial information, which should be restricted to the appointments and locations they are assigned to. Employees should not have access to information across all locations unless explicitly granted such permissions.
Could you please confirm if this restriction is currently being observed on your website? If employees are seeing information for all locations, there might be a configuration issue that we need to address.
To better assist you, please check if:
Employees are correctly assigned to their respective locations in the Amelia settings.
User roles and permissions are configured properly in WordPress to restrict access accordingly.
Understanding these details will help us provide more specific guidance and identify any necessary adjustments.
Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to resolving this issue for you.
I apologize for not expressing myself clearly in my initial query. I would like to know if there is a possibility to create an Amelia manager role that is able to manage only specific locations. Specifically, this role would need to handle calendar appointments, finances, and employees linked exclusively to those specific locations.
Uros is out of the office so I will step in for him.
Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. What you want to achieve is not possible Im afraid. When you give someone Manager role they can see and manage everything related to locations, employees and appointments there is no option to limit them to only some part of that. The only thing Manager can not do is they can nod delete things from the site.
So what you want to achieve is not possible Im afraid.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
