I recently switched to the latest version of the Amelia plugin. This means that a number of settings no longer work correctly. Including the following issues regarding the notification to the customer:
1. The number of people is not displayed correctly in the notification to the customer. I have set up a service for 2 people, but the notification indicates that the reservation has been made for 1 person. In this case there must be 2. Where do I set this correctly? 2. I am still not getting the notifications to the customer properly. I use about 100 placeholders in the notification message, because the customer can order many extra's. But in the email to the customer, the placeholders that are not filled in by the customer are shown as white space in the email. How do I prevent that?
Thanks for reaching out to us. For the first question/issue, the minimum number of people that you've configured is not the minimum -required number of people for booking. If configured like this, your customer will still have the option to book the appointment only for himself, but until this number is reached, the appointments will be marked as "pending". This number is the minimum number of people required for an appointment to occur, so if the number is set to 2, and there are 2 two appointments, then you can change the status to "approved".
Regarding the second issue, please provide the WP admin credentials so I can log in to test the functionality.
Thank you for you're clear answer! I'll test the notification again. But there is still a bug according the test service I made. As you can see, when I select the service Entree de Wetterdrip 2 personen 4 uur TEST, the service hangs and I can't throw the service away either. Would you like to take another look at that? (see also the attatchment).
I had already seen how you can increase the number of people in the backend. But the result is that the price is increased too and that is not the intention. Example: If a customer books a package / package for 2 people, he pays 120 euros for that service. The backend will then show Spots 1/2. If I change that to 2 people (2/2), the price will change to 240 euros, but it should remain 120 euros, because that is already the price for 2 people.
In other words, I understand how it works, but the price should not change. Do you understand what I'm running into?
Once this has been resolved, I can put the online payment function back into production and open it up to Wetterdrip visitors. Thanks in advance,
Thanks again! I think I now have a clear idea of the issue with increasing prices and can set it up so that it is correct in the notifications.
The other issue with the testing service really seems like a bug. I have created an additional service with the same name, but it is simply created and does not overwrite the existing one. As long as I cannot remove the relevant Test services, I cannot put it into production. What should I do now, is there a patch or an update for the plugin which overwrite the bug?
You are most welcome, i'm glad that I could help. You can create two services with the same name, but they would have different ID. For example, you can create two different categories with the same service name, but the ID will be different. You can delete the old service and create a new one if you don't want to have two of them.
It is clear to me regarding the Services and those IDs. But the problem is that I cannot delete the previously created Service: Entree de Wetterdrip 2 personen 4 uur TEST (ID: 18), it hangs as you can see in the screenshot. How do I remove this service? I can't bring the functionality to production now and my customer is starting to get a bit impatient. I hope there is a fix for this bug. Thanks in advance,
For some reason, default values were lost, but we've managed to get them back and you should be able to delete a service and create a new one. Please, let me know if it works.
I see that my colleague already responded to #3666772 . I will close this one, but in case if you have any other general questions or issues, feel free to reach out to us.
