I submitted this through the chat box a few days ago but didn't get a response so will try once more. I have a site using Paid Membership Pro so they login after purchasing a membership.
I am not wanting to add an Amelia calendar to book appointments for online consultations and maybe also multi day events but don't want to take any payments.
Since they are already logged in using PMPro, will they also need to login to a separate Amelia account if use the customer panel shortcode on a page? I don't want them to have to login twice. Paid membership pro has a user roles addon so I can have the additional role of "amelia customer" and I thought that would prevent the login screen but that didn't work, still go the login popup.
Also I want to put the customer panel page on a page the is restricted using the membership plugin so need for a login UNLESS its needed to identify customers & keep track of appointments?
I will try updating to another version and if this will work, which version of amelia would I need purchase for just one site with one employee and have appointments AND events? Hope that makes sense, thanks!
Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunatelly, currently, Amelia doesn't have the integration with any of Membership plugins and it doesn't have the membership option (but we are working on implementing this in future updates). To give you a basic overview of the customer panel. Yes, it is required for customers to have a customer profile in Amelia to use the customer panel (to be able to log in). Generally, you want to avoid having multiple user roles assigned to a user since this is creating a conflict. So, you want to keep it either customer or admin or etc. A customer panel is dedicated to customers, so If you don't want to display this on your page, it's not necessary. You can keep track of your customers in the WP backend as an admin. To have all of these, you can start with the standard license, but you can see the differences between licenses on this link. I hope it helps.
Thanks Stephan! Also, is there a way to accept offline payments where they wouldn't pay with a credit card but instead would receive and email with instructions on where to send a check? thanks!
Other than using the online payment methods, there is a "on-site" payment method. This would mean that a customer can pay for an appointment on-site. Unfortunatelly, there is no option for the customers to pay with a credit card unless if it is an online payment method. You can configure the default appointment status to pending and then add instructions in the notification template with the payment link, for example. You will be able to change the appointment status once the payment is processed.
