I've just created some packages in Amelia and have linked them to products in WooCommerce.
In WooCommerce, I have the ability to create a subscription option with the product.
Attached is what I see when I get to the WooCommerce cart after selecting the Package from the Amelia Step Calendar.
If Amelia is taking the first payment in the package (Total package = $1620 for 12 sessions) and in the customer chooses to only pay for the first appointment, when they are taken to the WooCommerce cart, they have the option to either a) Pay $135 as a one off, b) set up a weekly subscription for $135, or C) set up a fortnightly subscription for $135. - We allow customers to choose either fortnightly or weekly appointments.
However, if the do choose the PAY IN FULL option from the Amelia Step Calendar, then when they go to the WC Cart, they have the option to either pay upfront of $1620, or choose the weekly or fortnightly subscription.
I'm wondering if this is the workaround for Amelia not being able to take subscriptions?
If so, if the appointment is already paid on subscription in WC, and we are sending payment notification emails via Amelia, then is there potential for the customer to double pay?
I have attached screenshots of what I mean.
Essentially, if a customer selects "Pay in Full" from the AMelia Step Calendar, they can still choose a subscription payment once they are directed to the WooCommerce Cart.
Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, Amelia does not currently support setting up subscriptions directly within its system. The workaround you're using with WooCommerce subscriptions is the best available solution, but it can lead to complications such as double payments.
To avoid this, you may need to carefully manage the payment options presented to customers and ensure that they are clear about the subscription terms. If you have any further questions or need assistance with the configuration, please let us know.
